I've read a bit on the subject of Casein. I'm taking casein right now and some people say that drinking milk before going to bed will give me the same results ?? Thanks

I used to mix casein with milk before going to bed, but it was tough to get it blended.
I switched to Nitro Core 24, which has Casein (amongst other things) in it. It's freakin' delicious and mixes up pretty well with milk.
Milk has a fair amount of protein in it, but certainly not the equivalent to any powder that I'm aware of.

A tall glass of milk will have about 16g protein, 12g being casein, and 4g being whey.
So, if one scoop of casein powder has about 24g protein, that would be like drinking 2 tall glases of milk. 3 if you count the milk you are mixing it with.
So it really comes down do how much protein do you want, and how many glasses of milk can you drink all at once. Plus the extra fat/calories/etc.Last edited by Murr1525; 08-21-2009 at 02:33 PM.

Casein
Well, the protein in Milk is made up of 80% Casein and about 20% whey.
SO, it seems pretty pointless to buy Casein protein powder. 1 or 2 cups of milk at night should be enough to give your muscles a steady flux of protein through the night(well most of it), and make sure to keep your muscles satisfied with a fast digesting whey protein shake in the mornin'!Roids are for chumps
