New England states all have lots of things to do and get plenty of snow all winter. HOT summers too.
Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, and lastly (and least) Rhode Island.
Massachusetts is the best imo.

Out west you could look at Colorado, Utah, Northern Cali. East your best bet is new england. Mass or southern new hampshire.
edit- snowboarder? skier?

I live in New Jersey, and during the winters we have been known to get huge snowstorms maybe a couple of times in the winter. We don't get as much snow as say upstate New York however where it snows all the time. New Jersey has great summers, and great beaches if you know where to go and avoid the guidos from staten island. Most people say NJ sucks but thats only cause they've only driven on the turnpike through the meadowlands which is a crappy area. NJ is located between 2 great cities, NYC and philadelphia and has a lot of green and trees in the central and southern portions.

If you enjoy snow, and the outdoors, make sure to come to the area near Big Bear in CA. Best snowboarding on the west coast IMO.
You can also see yosemite, and all the giant oaks.

Almost every state has snow, it just depends on the city. For example, Arizona and New Mexico get tons of snow, but only in certain parts. Sometimex even Texas gets snow.

Colorado is probably your best bet for snow and civilization. Denver is pretty nice but I've never lived there.

If you want a place that snows yea-round though, idk.

Arizona has been around 110 lately, all it takes is a 2 hour drive to be at 7000ft elevation, I love it. We only get snow in the winter obviously.
