Shirt & tie. You can never overdress for an interview. When in doubt, suit it out. They won't expect you to go around training people on the first interview (unless they stated so), so casual fitness attire is a no no in my book.

I thought Bally's was going bankrupt. Probably just a way to increase membership costs. If these gyms would lower their rates they would have to expand instead of decrease.

Go and hear what they have to say. I was a pt at ballys and the sales ppl made some good $ but they were so stressed out from their monthly budgets and numbers. If you're not good at sales or don't enjoy it the jobs prob not for u.

It never hurts to at least see what they want from you.
Just bear in mind that you don't need to say yes untill they impress YOU.

I agree, a bad experience working with a corporate gym is just as good as a good experience.... I had both, I worked for 24 Hour fitness right out of college and I lasted a year.... it was fun to taste decent money for the first couple months, then everything got too annoying.
Daily Conversation
Manager: "How's the supps?"
Me: Try to avoid question
Manager: "How's the supps?"
Me: "Fluck off"
Manager: Gives Daily lecture about importance of selling supplements
Another thing I hated:
FINAL DAy!!!!!!!!!! bull shiznit
Seemed like every week they wanted you to call your clients to come in on their off day or buy session packages on a random day that the GM "needed" sales on...
There were many other annoyances but after leaving I looked at the negative experience as a huge positive.

they are going bankrupt because of the membership price are so low
my wife pay 8 .00 dollars a month!!!!!
the thing is that at first you got high membership fees but after contract is up the fees become dirt cheap..... this great for them in the begining but as their morgages rates go up and all the members rates go down its hard for them to keep their doors open
as far as the orginal question better to make a good imprssion than a bad one you can get away with biz casual but you'll make a better impression with a shirt and tie
and bally is a great place to learn your caft a get some experience under your belt
i dont have anything bad to say about them beside that the ceo is fcking up the company
