Nope, on my sides. Usually It happens on my right side and I can stop it before it goes full blown by sleeping on my left, but the other night it would come on several times that night no matter which side I was one. I had to get up for a half hour before going back to sleep to turn it off.
And I specifically don't sleep on my back because its about a 100% given I'll go into a full blown SP episode that I can't stop

Yeah, I usually know its coming because of the Aural hallucinations starting with instrumental music then going on to voices singing. At that point I'm pretty conscious that I'm entering an episode and have decided to physically move to prevent it, but an overwhelming feeling of laziness takes over and is quite difficult to move past. My brain actually tricks me and tries to convince me that I've moved when I really haven't. Not quite a full blown paralysis, but if I dont pull out at that point it'll go into one.

Happens to me on a regular because of my wierd sleeping pattern.
I usually get them if I sleep afternoons. I don't get bothered too much. I don't hallucinate all the time with the things that look like demons.
If I sleep normally it doesnt happen. It never happens upon waking up in the morning, just that if I take a nap.

I don't know. I like to sleep on my back just to get the episode sometimes. Used to be scary, but now i dunno. It doesnt bother me anymore.
Sometimes it's also weird because in my sleep paralysis, I can only view with my right eye or something.

Dude, it's the most ****ed up thing you can probably experience without really experiencing anything... i've been stabbed, beaten, shot at, murdered in mine... its truely terrifying at times and mine are always the same.... some stranger breaking into my house, me thinking "wtf was that??" and not being able to get up and just waiting for him to come into my room and kill me. FEELS BAD MAN

I had my first fit of it last saturday. I was dreaming I was putting eyedrops in my eye in front of my bathroom mirror, and I started to see myself stroke out. When I woke up from the dream I was completely unable to move for about 10 seconds. It was pretty damn frightening.

Dude dont fix it embrace it....so many people would love to be able to SP because that is how you have an Out of Body experience....just curious have u ever felt like you are sinking into the bed, as if your soul is being dragged through the floor?
edit: when i had SP, i woke up and i could hear this terrifying scream, then it turned into rap music, could hear it as clear as day

Ive been trying this new technique where as soon as the buzzing in my head gets loudest and the sensation of floating begins I roll over. When i do it feels like a really stong gravity pushing me towards the ground to the side of my bed.
The color is always dark bluish grey but everything is the same.. tv computer objects.. etc. Then I get up look at my bed and can see myself I placed my hand on the bed but it kinda phased through and freaked me out and I woke up snapped out of it.
Ill usually keep my eyes closed at this part cuz the hallucinations are still there and thats where you see the hag and shadowmen etc..
*edit* for the record I dont beleive in God, ghosts, spirits, astral projections, oobe,, etc. I think there some biological explanation research is only no discovering. Regardless its so different than dreams and more exciting so I go with it.

Ghost Brah... You have them
The "Old Hag" Syndrome
You wake up unable to move, barely able to breathe... you feel an oppressive weight on your chest... and you sense some evil presence in the room...
A dreadful sound is continually in the ears. A huge weighty being which causes incredible pain renders you paralyzed; it may seem to be seated on your back as you dream you are laying in bed in agony. There is no way to get it off you. You cannot call out. You are in terror as it seems to be stealing the life out of you; you know that if you stop struggling against it for a second you will surely perish. This is the worst of its horrors."
"About a year and a half ago, I was awoken in the night by a strong, warm breeze. I could not move and could not scream. It lasted about 30 seconds and was gone. I saw nothing. Last week it happened again. I was lying in bed and again was awoken. I felt a very strong force holding me down. I could not sit up. I tried to scream for my daughter and could not get any noise to come out. I tried to hit the wall with my arm and this force would not let me. It again lasted about 30 seconds and was over. I really don't believe in ghosts and didn't see anything at all. I am just really scared and confused."
The name of the phenomenon comes from the superstitious belief that a witch - or an old hag - sits or "rides" the chest of the victims, rendering them immobile. Although that explanation isn't taken very seriously nowadays, the perplexing and often very frightening nature of the phenomenon leads many people to believe that there are supernatural forces at work - ghosts or demons.
The experience is so frightening because the victims, although paralyzed, seem to have full use of their senses. In fact, it is often accompanied by strange smells, the sound of approaching footsteps, apparitions of weird shadows or glowing eyes, and the oppressive weight on the chest, making breathing difficult if not impossible. All of the body's senses are telling the victims that something real and unusual is happening to them. The spell is broken and the victims recover often on the point of losing consciousness. Fully awake and well, they sit up, completely baffled by what just happened to them since now the room is entirely normal.

Brah you should try having lucid dreams or as the above poster, try acheiving an OBE. It could enhance your life by a ton and it sounds fun. Imagine going inside a lucid dream whenever you like, and while in that dream doing ANYTHING you want like, banging any kinda of chick you like.

papi89, it's really wierd. because in my dream no one was in the room, but as soon as I woke up, my brother was right there beside me.
I could view the whole room while i was having SP, but no one else was there.
As soon as I got out of SP.. Boom. My brother was there. I'm not really sure because I cannot move my body during SP, but my eyes were wandering.
Also, the room was dim during the event... It began to light up afterwards.

well your body is paralyzed so they likely wont notice, since you cant move or scream out. unless their looking right at you and you have your eyes open.
the only things i found to be able to move physically during paralysis are your eyelids, fingertips(with some effort) and all the automatic **** in your body heartbeat, breathing, etc etc

so its possible that you were reliving in your sleep paralysis how your room looked a couple of hours before u actually woke up?
thats pretty interesting. the closest weirdest thing thats happened to me is waking up and answering a call then moments later i look at my hand and my phone isnt there, and realized i was semi dreaming on several occasions... but havent been paralized ever as far as i remember, unless i had a 2 second paralysis which i doubt
