Any Palm Pre owners?
Theres a site called precentral.net that is all about the palm pre. They have over 100 apps that people have made and uploaded to the site. palm's app store is slow as **** releasing apps, so this is a great way to get some apps on your phone. i suggest giving it a try if you have some time. there are some very useful apps. it only requires you to update your java and install a program. the rest is cake.
edit: here is the direct link to directions. http://www.precentral.net/how-to-install-homebrew-apps

Palm Pre FTW!
Palm Pre FTW... Convert from iphone 3G to Palm Pre. Nice phone, good service, bill is $70 minus $18% of the whole bill ( don't ask how much is that cause my math sucks) but very happy with it.
I can change so many things with rooting it (linux) bad ass finally a phone i can customize to my own taste.

I got a Pre last week. I didnt do alot of research, but what attracted me to the Pre is someone had a roam only hack. My Curve would stay on the Sprint towers even with no bars. Wouldnt roam. I needed that hack to stay on the Verizon tower at work. So far, works like a dream. The Pre? Call clarity is unreal over my curve. I make/take calls/text all day long. It suits me fine so far.
