Question Compete in 1 year time?? (plz help)

I started lifting September 2008 and stopped January 2009 after a 5 month binging bulk where I gained lots of muscle and lots of fat.
I started lifting again in June 2009 after losing 100 lbs. (275 down to 176)
I am curently (cutting to 165)
I have maintained all/gained a little bit more muscle since the beginning(Sept).
now I want to set myself a goal of competing in a BB comp in 1 year.
Can I build the amount of muscle needed to not look like an idiot on stage in that time frame???
    I just turned 19, I'm 5'10", 177lbs, 13% bodyfat
(was soccer/volleyball/tennis player) naturally huge legs = lots of weight
What's my plan???.... simple really...EAT RIGHT....LIFT HEAVY....REST... repeat until desired results are achieved.

    I REP BACK!

i dont think so man, from your avatar i can tell alot of your muscles are under developed, in a year you could do a bulk and get yourself on the right track but would take at least another year before a cut, you want your body to hold on to the higher weight levels first before cutting. good luck tho man
"since i turned 18 my power levels are about 10,000 and rising, i just beat the sh i t out of brolly for steppin on my sneakers, whats good wit it"

You will be in a teenage novice class probably based on weight.. Just get ripped and learn how to present yourself. I doubt there will be many huge teenagers there. Go ahead and compete the experience will help. Please ignore the guy above this. He aint no bigger than you and is putting you down. I doubt he ways 180. Once you start bulking after this competition your body will be starving for the good amounts of food and the muscle will come fast. Dont let people who have never competed or had any education or experience try to give you advice. Want advice on how to bulk pm me. I need more info
