What type of pain? And where?

It may be the RC.

Shoulders have been my best and worst friend at the gym, OP theres alot of different types of pain or problems when it comes to shoulders. First thing is rest and rest till u dont have a kink nemore, once u tweak ur shoulder ur going to always have to take extra time in stretching and warming it up. Finally when doing any pressing exercises always make sure ur shoulders and arms are parallel with the bar.

this ^^^^. Also yeah start working your delts, why wouldn't you if you don't have issues with them (obviously besides the tweak you have now)? i would say put them on their own day or on an arm day or put them with back. also do a search for shoulder pain, there are a million recent threads on this with helpful info. good luck.

Stretching would be best. Warm up the articulations by spinning your arms around. That's what I do.

it hurts to raise my arm out to my side. the shoulder girdle is what hurts where the clavicle and the scapula meet.

There are two reasons
1) You are benching wrong, using too much shoulders.
2) Your shoulders are too weak.

There are three solutions
1) Rest to recover and use correct form.
2) Work on your shoulders, especially military press (seated)
3) Work with dumbbells instead of barbell for the time being.

hope that helps

why dont you work your shoulders? you need to add some delt/rear delt working + some military presses, RC work aswell

my shoulders have bothered me off and on for years now while lifting. it usually takes me longer than a week to be able to bench without pain. overhead pressing movements dont seem to bother me though.
