Ninjazn Sipping On Purple InTrain
Ninjazn Logs Purple InTrain

What is Purple InTrain?
Designed to shine where other products fall short, Purple InTrain is the anabolic INTRA workout solution, but taking INTRA workout supplementation to the next level wasn't easy. While amino acids are the king of building muscle, many also prefer a moderate amount of carbs during training because of the muscle sparing effect. Stored in the sarcoplasm of muscle fibers, muscle glycogen is short term energy storage we can take advantage of during a workout.
Key attributes:
* Hydro Whey and Free Form Amino Acids for optimal performance and growth
* Active muscle glycogen enhancement
* Exclusive herbal extract for carbohydrate shuttling
* Fuel your training intensity
* Potent vitamin and electrolyte complex designed for the serious athlete
Instead of just combining sugars and amino acids like so many products, Purple InTrain features designer carbohydrates, glycine, and banaba extract for dramatic muscle glycogen enhancement.... results you can SEE and FEEL ! CONTROLLED LABS didn't stop there.... InTrain features both Hydro Whey and Free Form Amino Acids like leucine for optimal performance and growth, along with the ergogenic beta-alanine and potent b-vitamin delivery for endurance.
Who Am I?
I'm Ninjazn of course.
Age: 19
Weight: 167lbs or 76kg
Height: 6'0" or 1.8 meters or 72 inches
What do I plan to do?
I'm going to be logging Purple InTrain for the next 40 days. I'll be taking 1.5 scoops during each workout with around 20oz of water. My workouts will be highly intense and feature multiple exercises, reps and sets. I'll be posting what workout I did each day, along with how I felt the workout went and whether Purple InTrain helped. I'll also be bulking during this log, so I plan on gaining weight (hopefully all of it muscle ).
Please feel free to ask me questions throughout this log, I'd be happy to answer. Also, Thanks to Controlled Labs and Dracoy for letting me log Purple InTrain. You guys are great!

BOOM...Here We Go...
Look/Design:
- The packaging of Purple InTrain is similar to Purple Wraath, I like it, nice and simplistic. The powder itself is a white/greyish color, and it was packed to the top of the tub.

Smell:
- Didn't really put my nose into it or anything, but after removing the protective seal and revealing the powder, there was a slight smell. Not bad, but not good either. Just sort of "there." Who really cares about the smell though?

Taste:
- For my first ever workout with Purple InTrain, I mixed 2 scoops with 24 ounces of water. I was just too excited, I didn't want to stop at 1.5 scoops and did 2 full scoops.
I know the instructions said to stir with a spoon, but I went ahead and shook it up. After doing that, I opened my bottle to see all this foam that everyone was talking about. I didn't drink it immediately, instead I put it in the freezer and let it sit for 45 min and grabbed it as I was heading out the door. By the time I was at the gym, it was still really cold, but no longer frozen. My first sip gave me a different taste than I was expecting. I am not a fan of raspberries, but this didn't really taste like raspberries to me. I can't really describe what it tastes like, but it was a bit chalky, I'm guessing due to the Waxy Maize? Honestly it didn't seem to have much of a taste, so it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, it was neutral. I am a BIG fan of Purple Wraath's Grape flavor, but Purple InTrain Raspberry wasn't as satisfying for the sweet tooth in me. I'm going to have to try it with less water and stirring instead of shaking.
Workout 1 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Chest, Calves and Cardio
DB Flat Bench: 55lbs x 5 reps (warmup), 70lbs x 10 reps, 75lbs x 8 reps, 75lbs x 6 reps, 75lbs x 6 reps
Cable Flye: 15lbs x 10 reps, 15lbs x 10 reps, 20lbs x 10 reps, 20lbs x 8 reps
Calf Extension Machine: 115lbs x 15 reps, 130lbs x 12 reps, 145lbs x 10 reps, 145lbs x 10 reps
Incline DB Bench: 60lbs x 10 reps, 65lbs x 8 reps, 65lbs x 6 reps, 65lbs x 6 reps
Incline DB Flye: 30lbs x 8 reps, 30lbs x 8 reps, 30lbs x 8 reps
Dips: BW x 8 reps, BW x 8 reps, BW x 8 reps
Cardio: Bike: 20 minutes
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
1 scoop of Green Magnitude
Intraworkout:
2 scoops of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: Nice workout, I made sure to get nice, complete ROM on each exercise, especially the Incline DB Bench, because I really want to start hitting my upper pecs harder. The Cable Flyes felt great today, I could really feel the stretch with each rep. I threw calves into this workout because they are really lagging and could use more work. The Dips at the end of the workout really finished me off, my shoulders kept "crackling" with each rep.
It was a good workout and I think Purple InTrain helped with my endurance a bit. It's still too early to tell, but I have a good feeling about this.

Workout 2 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Hamstrings, Traps, Calves
Leg Press: 295lbs x 10 reps, 400lbs x 8 reps, 600lbs x 1 rep (New PR!), 450lbs x 8 reps
Deadlift: 225lbs x 5 reps, 275lbs x 5 reps, 315lbs x 1 rep (New PR!)
Leg Curls: 115lbs x 8 reps, 125lbs x 8 reps, 130lbs x 8 reps, 140lbs x 8 reps
DB Shrugs: 65lbs x 15 reps, 75lbs x 12 reps, 85lbs x 10 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
1 scoop of Green Magnitude
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I didn't have much time to spend in the gym today, because I had to go buy stuff for my apartment, so the workout was kind of fast, but it was pretty good. I hit a new PR on the Deadlift and Leg Press! I also got to workout today with my old workout partner from my previous college, so it was pretty cool to see him and workout together with him.
I thought this workout was pretty good. I actually ended up mixing 1.5 scoops of InTrain with 1 scoop of Wraath in ice cold water. It wasn't a purple color though, sort of grey-brown. It looked like a frappuccino actually, especially with the foam.

Workout 3 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Biceps, Triceps and Cardio
Tricep Kickbacks: 20lbs x 10 reps, 25lbs x 10 reps, 25lbs x 10 reps, 25lbs x 10 reps
V-Bar Cable Pushdowns: (Different machine than usual) 80lbs x 10 reps, 100lbs x 10 reps, 115lbs x 10 reps, 115lbs x 10 reps
Skullcrushers: (E-Z bar with preset weights) 50lbs x 8 reps, 60lbs x 8 reps, 70lbs x 8 reps
Standing DB Curls: 45lbs x 8 reps, 45lbs x 6 reps, 40lbs x 6 reps, 40lbs x 6 reps
Seated Preacher DB Curls: 30lbs x 10 reps, 30lbs x 10 reps, 30lbs x 10 reps
Reverse Grip Curls: (E-Z bar with preset weights) 60lbs x 8 reps, 60lbs x 5 reps, 40lbs x 10 reps
Cardio: Bike: 20 minutes
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
1 scoop of Green Magnitude
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: AMAZING workout. The pump I had today was unlike any other arm pump I've ever had. The muscles felt so tight and they just kept burning even after I finished each set. I also don't normally do Skullcrushers and that really helped finish off my triceps. The DB Seated Preacher Curls were also something I don't normally do, but it felt great. I had FULL ROM and my biceps just felt so full.
Today I actually stirred the Purple InTrain as the instructions suggested and maybe it's just me, or I'm crazy, but the taste seemed so much better... I had 1.5 scoops with 20 ounces of water. I then left it in the freezer for around 45 minutes and when I took it out I stirred it again with a spoon and headed for the gym. I think the taste really grows on you.

DB Shoulder Press: 60lbs x 6 reps, 60lbs x 6 reps, 60lbs x 6 reps, 50lbs x 9 reps

Supps taken:
Preworkout:
1 scoop of Green Magnitude
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: This was a pretty nice Shoulder workout. The 60lb DB Shoulder Presses really took a lot out of my shoulders. The Front Raises and Lateral Raises were pretty much the same as always, they felt good. Overall it was a nice workout.
The Purple InTrain taste is definitely growing on me. I also felt I had a lot more endurance/stamina during this workout.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been updating the past couple of days. I just moved into my apartment at college and things have been SO HECTIC. I don't have any internet at all at my apartment, Comcast is supposed to install it on Monday, so I have to wait a week. I apologize for not updating, but once Monday comes around, you'll see daily updates again. I'll try and get on the internet at the public library whenever possible.

Workout 5 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Hamstrings, Traps, Calves
Leg Press: 350lbs x 12 reps, 450lbs x 10 reps, 500lbs x 5 reps, 260lbs x 10 reps
Seated Calf Raises: 90lbs x 12 reps, 115lbs x 12 reps, 125lbs x 12 reps, 80lbs x 10 (really slow reps)
Leg Curls: 130lbs x 10 reps, 130lbs x 10 reps, 145lbs x 10 reps
DB Shrugs: 65lbs x 10 reps, 75lbs x 10 reps, 85lbs x 10 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I'm trying to do more reps on each set of the Leg Press, so I started off with a set of 12 and then went to a set of 10. My goal is to do 10 reps of 500lbs, which I hope to achieve within the next month. The Leg Curl machine was different than the one I'm used to (I'm now lifting at my University gym), but I really felt the burn in my Hamstrings.
Note: I still do not have Internet at my apartment. I'll try my best to update each day at the library.
I'm eating like a pig though (all clean food) and trying my best to bulk up, Purple InTrain style.

Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: The tricep portion of this workout was great. I'm really digging Skullcrushers in my workout, they feel amazing. I also did Bench Dips, Arnold style. I had my feet elevated higher than my arms so it puts more tension on the triceps. The Bicep portion of the workout wasn't that great. I had a nice pump, but for some reason I wasn't feeling as strong, especially during the DB Curls.
Purple InTrain tasted gooooood today.

Upright Rows: (Not including weight of bar): 70lbs x 6 reps, 70lbs x 6 reps 60lbs x 8 reps, 50lbs x 10 reps, 40lbs x 12 reps

1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I just took a week off from lifting due to severe onset of headaches while lifting, so I wanted to ease myself back into it. I thought this workout was pretty good. The Shoulder Press really made the delts sore because I was getting a nice full ROM. However, I really wanted to do 60lbs like usual. The Upright Rows were also great at hitting the delts. I'm doing a new setup for the next couple of weeks where the first 2 workouts I do, I do 5 sets and pyramid up, so today was sort of a "test" day for that and it really felt good.
I feel like I am not getting as fatigued as usual, I think its a combination of Purple InTrain and the fact that I am eating more.

Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I decided to have one Leg day instead of separate Hamstrings and Quads days like I had previously. This was a lot tougher than I thought. My leg press suffered because I was already fatigued from the Squats. I want to give this a try for a couple of weeks and see how it works, because after today my legs felt really burned out, which is good. However, I am worried that I won't be able to progress well on my Leg Press stats due to doing them after doing Squats. We'll see how it goes.

Thoughts on the workout: Really nice arm day. My arms felt so pumped. I'm liking the pyramid rep scheme I'm doing, it really is giving my biceps a beating. Triceps felt amazing with skullcrushers and bench dips today. Overall I think that changing up the reps and exercises are going to lead to better results.
Wow, Purple InTrain kept me going today. My arms were burning, but inbetween sets I kept sipping on it and it felt good.

Workout 10 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Back
Lat Pulldowns: 170lbs x 12 reps, 180lbs x 7 reps, 200lbs x 5 reps, 150lbs x 10 reps
Deadlifts: 135lbs x 10 reps, 225lbs x 8 reps, 285lbs x 5 reps, 185lbs x 8 reps
Cable Rows: 150lbs x 8 reps, 130lbs x 10 reps, 110lbs x 12 reps
One Hand DB Rows: 70lbs x 8 reps, 60lbs x 10 reps, 80lbs x 6 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: Pretty good workout. My lower back was pretty sore after the deadlifts. I didn't get to lift as much as I wanted because I didn't have a belt. Next time I go I'll make sure to rent a belt from the gym. The Lat Pulldowns were really good though, I could feel the stretch with each rep. I think this new routine + eating more + InTrain is doing well.
Even cottage cheese is starting to taste good now.

Workout 11 with Purple InTrain
Workout: Chest
Incline Barbell Bench: 95lbs x 6 reps, 135lbs x 10 reps, 155lbs x 7 reps (New PR in reps!), 135lbs x 6 reps, 115lbs x 6 reps[/U]
Incline DB Flys: 35lbs x 10 reps, 35lbs x 10 reps, 30lbs x 10 reps, 30lbs x 8 reps
Flat DB Bench: 65lbs x 6 reps, 65lbs x 6 reps, 55lbs x 7 reps, 55lbs x 7 reps
Decline Pushups: BW x 10 reps, BW x 8 reps, BW x 8 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I was really happy with how I did on the Incline Bench. The 135lb set actually felt pretty light, and my range of motion was great, with each rep touching the upper part of my Chest, right below my chin. The 155lb set was great as well, I was pleased that I got 7 reps. The Flys were great. The DB Flat Bench was pretty crappy, I wish I had done better on that. Decline Pushups went well though.
New PR, always fun.

DB Shoulder Press: 55lbs x 6 reps, 55lbs x 6 reps, 50lbs x 8 reps, 45lbs x 10 reps, 45lbs x 5 reps
Upright Rows: (Not including weight of bar): 60lbs x 6 reps, 70lbs x 8 reps 70lbs x 8 reps, 50lbs x 10 reps, 50lbs x 10 reps
DB Bent Over Lateral Raise: 35lbs x 6 reps, 35lbs x 8 reps, 35lbs x 10 reps, 35lbs x 10 reps
DB Front Raise: 30lbs x 10 reps, 30lbs x 8 reps, 30lbs x 6 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: My shoulders felt great during this workout. I was getting such a good ROM on the shoulder press that the 55lb DBs were touching my delts with each rep. They also felt really light today. The Upright Rows were great, I managed to do more reps with the 70lb weight, and I think I'll be increasing the weight next time around.
Did more reps this time around than in my past shoulder workout. I think InTrain is helping with endurance/stamina.

Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: I felt good on everything except Squats. I just wasn't getting as low as I wanted. The Leg Press went better this time around than last, I didn't do the set of 260 like last time, I stuck to 310 as my lowest. Next time I'm going to start off with a set of 450. The Calf Raises, Leg Extensions and Leg Curls were all pretty straight forward and went well.
Thanks 5Six!

Workout 14 with Purple InTrain
09/15/2009
Workout: Biceps and Triceps
DB Curls: 45lbs x 8 reps, 45lbs x 6 reps, 40lbs x 6 reps, 35lbs x 7 reps
Preacher Curls: Bar+70lbs x 6 reps, Bar+70lbs x 6 reps, Bar+60lbs x 8 reps, Bar+50 x 10 reps, Bar+50 x 10 reps
Skullcrushers: Preacher bar+60lbs x 12 reps, Preacher bar+60lbs x 10 reps, Preacher bar+50lbs x 8 reps, Preacher bar+50lbs x 6 reps
Closegrip Bench: 95lbs x 10 reps, 95lbs x 10 reps, 45lbs x 25 reps (super close grip, hands were touching)
Cable Curls: 100lbs x 6 reps, 90lbs x 8 reps, 80lbs x 10 reps
Supps taken:
Preworkout:
5 pills of Green Bulge
Intraworkout:
1.5 scoop of Purple InTrain
Thoughts on the workout: This was an okay workout. I wasn't feeling my best today. Although, I did increase on the Skull Crushers and I bumped up the weight on the preacher curls. For some reason though, 45lb DB Curls, which I used to do really easily, are feeling difficult.
Random Thoughts: Ah things are getting busy.
