Fitness Modeling Fantasy?
I'm thinking about doing a photo shoot in 2 months to put together a portfolio for professional fitness modeling / demo work such as working at booths and fitness videos, etc... (I'm a part-time fitness instructor.) Problem is, I need unbias opinions of whether I look decent enough to even try. I realize I need a bit more cut, but that should be no problem in 2 months. (I'm almost 11 months post-partum.)
Thx in advance!

I think you could achieve it.
Even though I can't see exactly how lean you are, you look pretty lean and have a nice face as well.
Taking a picture showing the abdominal area and with your hair untied would help others give better opinions.
Good luck.

Ab Pics
Per request. I'll work on the hair ;^)
And yes, I will tan before the shoot.
Thx!
Sasha
PS - The line across is from my pants. I have basically no visible stretch marks. Thank God.

I will be 100% honest with you, I am no expert but you need to be more tan (easy fix) and a lot leaner, you just look like average thin female.

This is basically along the same lines as all of the others responses...I think you just need to lean out alot more (not that you aren't lean already). But when you see fitness models at booths and events they are always shredded. I think after the 2 months of cutting you alluded to and once you get tanned, you should have a great chance at becoming a fitness model.
Good luck

This is exactly the feedback I'm looking for. Thx so far!
Tan - check (I'm Irish, what can I say. The tan is as challenging as the physique :^)
Lean out - check (That's on my plan. I just wanted to make sure I don't look like @$$ to begin with ;^)
Hair - check

Just get a spray tan, easy as pie. Your lean, in two months you could really be ripped, but you cannot tell yourself you need to do a "little work", its never a little amount, gun ho it for 60 days and you will get noticed.

I think you're going to be too small if you just lean out. I'd recommend adding some muscle all around and then leaning out.

Agreed. Before I found bb.com, I leaned out hardcore without lifting for my wedding. I looked like a 12 year old boy. It was bad. I easily put on muscle though. (Thx to the parents for good genes!)

x2 on the adding more muscle, don't think you need to get any leaner.
Looking great though!

Where the hell do you live? I know one woman that is 30 that looks as lean as that... Every other middle aged woman I know is obese...
You look good, like others have said, add some mass. Goodluck with everything.

Thx Rattlehead.
Also, I have a 10 month old baby. It took me 4 months to get back to my starting weight.
To all - I'm tanning as I type. I'll reshoot with some more color as soon as I'm good.

Since you want HONEST opinion, you most likely can not make it in the professional world. With your skin and body type it's going to be very difficult to compete. Sure, you can pay thousands of dollars to get a photoshoot, portfolio and all but in reality.... you're wasting your money.. stick to the gym to keep a healthy look but don't try out competing.

Fitness modeling is a tough industry to get into. Most women start off by competing in figure or fitness modeling contests with hopes of getting noticed. Sure you can put together a portfolio and see what happens.
You need to focus on adding some overall muscle. This doesn't happen quickly it takes years to add quality muscle, especially for women.
Best of luck!

I sincerely appreciate everybody's feedback.
Re: $ for photos - I know a photography student who would do them for almost nothing.
Tan - yes yes... I get the point.
Freckles - No matter how much I do, I can't erase them. If that's a disqualifier then I'm stuck.
Honestly, I was hoping my personality & knowledge of the field would help with demo work.
Also, I've been to the Arnold a few times now, & some of the booth girls were *not* fit. It was shocking. I thought ' I could do this.' Oh well.
On a side note, I was approached once to do a Step video that would accompany a new product, but it got picked up with a big chain that took over the project.
Lastly, I, like many, was looking for a little extra $, & I'd like to do something I enjoy which is share my fit lifestyle.
Once again, I appreciate everyones comments & time.

Maxime - Thx! I work(ed) hard for this body. I WO till 38 wks & started again at 2 wks post baby. I swear that's why my labor was only 11 hrs. (with an epidural)
Todd - Sorry. I was/am waiting for someone to be rude. People are rough when it's almost anonymous.

This. Go all out adding some quality muscle. Then focus on becoming leaner. You look good though. Great progress after having the baby.
