It is silly to first drink a 300-cal shake, then
.... do some cardio to burn off that 300-cal intake?
I mean the net calorie would be ZERO. So, dont drink = no need to do cardio.

the cardio does strengthen your heart, and it slightly boosts your metabolism for later in the day, so overall you still benefit doing cardio to burn off a 300 calorie shake.

Yep, if you are cutting don't eat anything at all and you can just lie in the fetal position all day for maximum fat/muscle loss. ha

You're not necessarily using solely the calories contained in the shake, especially considering the timely and inefficient metabolism of protein when compared to that of fats (also timely) and carbohydrates.
Different pathways are more efficiently employed in situations with different energy demands. Your body will ultimately resort to fatty acid oxidation before that of amino acids.
The physiological influence of an aerobic activiety (cardio) is going to be different than that of a sedentary one with the same resulting net calories.

Basically, if you're just sitting around there's essentially no change as opposed to doing cardio, which effectively targets fat stores. (Not to mention the inherent cardiovascular health.)
Haha, it's way easier to type it as I do than it is to simplify it - translating is a whole new effort.

if u r just sitting there, and eat nothing, u would lose weight, right?
If u do cardio, and eat nothing, u would still lose weight, right?
If u do cardio, and eat slightly less calorie, u would lose FAT, right?
