changing motherboard in a laptop
I have an HP dv2000 that has crashed the repair shop says that it needs a new motherboard and said board would be more than the computer is worth. I found one on ebay for around $100. I wondered exactly how hard this would be for a novice? I willing to try it rather than just trash the computer.

Yeah I already did get a new one. But there were things that I liked about the old computer.
