First off let me just say I am horrible at writing logs, but fitnessnewb inspired me so I'll try my best to make one.
Next... I'll introduce myself. I am 14 years old, turning 15 on June 11th this next year. I do 5 sports; soccer, x-country, track, wrestling, and lacrosse. I really love running, it's probably my favorite hobby. I also enjoy biking and swimming, although not nearly as much.
I DON'T EXPECT YOU TO READ ALL THIS. I just tend to get caught up and write endlessly.
During the wrestling season two years ago (7th grade) I had to lose some weight to make the next weight group under me, so I did that easy. Just ran 20 minutes every day. But my mind kind of lost control after that and I went through an eating disorder and ended up losing all muscle, having no energy, being depressed 24/7 and not willing to do anything. At the start I was 125 lbs (5'7'') and ended up at 105 lbs. Soon after I went to the doctor for the checkup and they could not find my pulse, so I had to take tests, etc. Found out I had anorexia and got hospitalized immediately, for 3 days.
During those 3 days it hit me how skinny I was, and soon after I was 100% determined to gain all my weight back and not let that ever happen again. So I definitely gained that weight back, I got up to 145 at the beginning of 8th grade. Slightly chubby, but not fat. Just little muscle and a bit too much fat, due to eating a jar of peanut butter a day and not exercising much.
2 months later my cousin introduced me to a dumbbell, and I got hooked to that and started lifting it every day. It was just a 15lbs one... I also got hooked on crunches and pushups.
I went through that year enjoying my life eating all I wanted and not gaining a single pound anymore and lifting some weights, but I really wanted to workout, like... REALLY workout, at the GYM. That was my dream for the next 6 months and my parents got me one at the end of May.
In that time my friend Tim got me into running, and I started running and lifting with him at the YMCA, but he ended up not lifting anymore to just run. That was cool, I'll just do both.
My other friend was very overweight and so I go to the Y with him; he bikes/walks while I lift. It's pretty fun.
So now I've been lifting/running/eating right for the past 3 months consistently, and I have much more self confidence and love my life right now.
Cliffs:
- got anorexia
- determined to change
- started lifting dumbbells
- soon after started running and working out

Yeah man thanks, in the end everything turns out all good.
The pec... sounds verrryy stupid. But I'll explain. I got outta the shower, in a really good mood, stepped out too fast (there was no bathmat) and I slipped and sliced it through the corner of the counter. Got 29 stitches and could barely walk for the week after that, and could not run/jog/jump for 3 weeks.
I have a picture during surgery and you could see my pec muscle, it was pretty gross and hurt like a *****.
Haha that's the story.live.laugh.lift

I'm also gonna start eating more (eating tuna cheese sandwich as I type ), cause I haven't seen any gains with my weight lately, wish me luck

Nice!
Today I ran with the High School XC team for a 40 minutes, then did a bit of core workouts. It was great! Later tonight my Dad and I might go Swim/Kayak in Lake Sammamish for a while! This is gonna be sweet.

I ate alot more than normal today, and I feeeell goooood.
HOPEFULLY: Shoulder/calf day tomorrow.live.laugh.lift

I had... a REALLY good lifting day today.
I don't know what it was;maybe my huge breakfast, longboarding this morning, or seeing my friend at the gym and we lifted together. But whatever, my day is great so far.
So this morning I ran for 25 minutes, had a huge breakfast, chilled for a little bit then longboarded down to the YMCA.
I had a shoulder/trap/calf day. I'd rate it 10/10.
In 20 minutes my Dad and I are going to open water swim together. I'm stoked. Time to lather sunscreen on my white bodyLast edited by baco_bacon; 08-19-2009 at 02:05 PM.
