Ok so I used NO Shotgun pre-workout today....

And I felt nothing =\ I was expecting to feel amped to the **** and have the greatest workout of my life, but no. I mean strength was up a little bit, but my heart was beating normally. Today I ate my preworkout meal at 1:30pm (150g steak, 60g brown rice & 1/2 cup veggies), had my NO Shotgun in 9 o.z. water at 2:20pm and was exercising by 2:45pm. I actually felt a little light headed, but other than this NO Shotgun didn't work for me. I usually drink around 5 litres of water in a day too.

I've never been a real big coffee drinker. I started drinking 1-2 cups of green tea every day for the past couple of weeks, but I don't think I should be this tolerant to stims :S So, any idea if I'm timing it/doing anything wrong? Or am I just one of those people doomed to a life of non-working pre workout supps? Anyone think I'm going to be able to buy something that will work? Will rep for help. Thanks guys!

before you try to re-examine your purchase... lets try to take it differently.
first off i suggest you make the NOshot your pre work out meal.. meaning wait a full two hours after your last meal. take it on an empty stomache. next if it doesnt work , try taking 1 and a half scoops.. try these ideas before giving up.
also what kind of stim history do you have? one thing is for sure....if your NOshot is the V3 and if VPX has dropped the redline formula in favor of their newer meltdown formula it wouldnt supprise me a bit if the energy wasnt intense, as meltdown is very mild feeling but very powerful nontheless. test your self next time... do you have great focus? improved strength as well? decent pump? i would say dont go to the gym expecting the world, this time go there and really think about whats going on... let us know if these ideas help.

1) The V.3 energy matrix is a Redline/Meltdown blend.

2) Having your last proper meal more than 2 hours before your workout, just to make your NO product "feel" better is going to be counter-productive IMO.

OP: Try your shotgun 1.5 hrs after your meal, and then head straight to the gym instead of waiting 20min. By cutting out the time between shotgun and gym, you can move that time to between your meal and shotgun, giving your stomach more time to empty, but not increasing the total time bewteen meal and workout.

The only stimulant history (if you could really call it that in my case), aside from the green tea recently, has been the occassional bottle of coke. But then again, I haven't had one in about a year. I suppose strength was up yesterday in the gym, as was endurance. I felt 0 from shotgun as well, but I get a great pump/energy boost/more focused from: Animal Pump and SuperPump 250. I tried White Flood as well, but that was a bit too high in stims (for me) and made me jittery.

Your previous "stim" use looks about the same as mine; I never drink coffee and occasionally a cup of tea.

I suggest getting some free samples with your next order and try the different products :-).

Waiting longer after your pre-workout meal should not be the solution. I take my pre-workout supp ~30-60min after my meal and Animal Pump, SuperPump 250 and White Flood all work fine. And my pre-workout meal is pretty big: 5 egg whites, 3 whole eggs, 1 sweet potato, 1/2 red pepper, broccoli.

Btw: I don't think Shotgun is a bad product. The ingredients beat most other pre-workout supps, but it seems that some people don't respond to it.

Thanks heaps for all of that mate! Very helpful and appreciated. Yeah haha I thought I would take advantage of a 2 for 1 offer on it. Big mistake. Funnily enough, the only results I've had from it so far have been 8 pimples on my face and a rash of them on my chest. Repped btw.

NO-Shotgun has always had great results for me. I usually use two scoops on an empty stomach 40minutes before my workout for the best effect. I used Animal Pump and didn't really feel anything. As for SuperPump, most people know it by SuperDump. Very true imo...
