    Modifying 5x5 SL

I started the 5x5 workout June 1st and have been able to keep adding 5lbs per day and my squat is now at 225. While I have a lot of work to do on my other exercises, I wanted to switch to lower weight and higher reps for squatting (3 x 12). Is there any detriment to switching this up?

    Thanks.

Why don't you stick to 5x5? You won't be able to lift as heavy with 3x12 and you certainly won't be adding 5lbs per workout with that many reps

Is it because you believe the 3x12 will yield more hypertrophy? Because that is not the case. Stick with 5x5 because you have a lot of progess left in the tank before you need to worry about switching programs.
