Exclamation How to heal Torn lat?

I realy need some help here guys
Over 3 months ago I realy pulled my right lat. I guess I wasnt warmed up enough or something. But I threw a hard right hook on the heavy bag & my lat pulled very badly, the pain is mainly going from my armpit through the upper part of my lat. I couldnt do anything for 3 weeks or so. then I started doing light bag work & lifting again. But now over 3 months down the line It is giving me real problems. Any movement of my right arm is very painful. I cant throw punches of do any pulling motions.
I know I am not the only one to have this type of injury. So please if anyone has had this before - What is the best way to heal & recover & how long does it take? should I do light exercise to stimulate blood flow to the area? total rest? bandage support? any supplements that help?

any help will be much appriciated!

not a doctor here but am a trainer. from what it sounds like its possible it might not be the lat per say. but the instertion point that connects the last to the bone. it could also be a part of rotator cuff problem. hence why its lingering. reason it might, i cant feel the same thing u do so could be wrong, but by description, its higher..with the lat ud feel it a little lower..

might wanna take like a week off. just hit lower body. after a week work in some stretching and some light weights a few days after. see how it feels. isometric exercises are great for injury cuz it stimulates the muscle yet doesnt expand or contract it.

id say ice it before bed as well.

supplements...supplements do lovely work...with the right ones..u can take a hormone enhancer...not a gurantee that it would work..and im not sayin something illegal..but like DHEA or methyl 1-ad. that could increase it a little better..always take a multi vitamin. get enough protein. a good antioxidant is always a good thing(vit C,E, green tea, Coq10) enough sleep.

if ur still havin issues...id call a doc. hope i helped ya
