insanity

SO have you ladies heard or seen the knew Insanity program by Shaun T? One of my friends bought it and after looking at it, it seems like pretty much just cardio and the diet part sounds delicious but I don't about it. It doesn't use any weights at all, its all with your own body weight. Just curious to see what you all think and if you know about it.

I have not tried it yet, but my understanding is that it is more challenging than P90X and P90X+. I've finished both and loved them. They are fun and challenging. I really can't say enough good things!

i have it and did it for about a month. its all cardio and lots of pushups/plyo jumps. honestly i think that dong the rotation as they suggested will lead to overtraining. I did it for the month and ended up with shoulder tendonitits. i think its a great form of hiit/interval workout but i think that one should do it only 2-3 times per week b/c it is very intense.

Remind me - is the program slated to be 60 days? And just out of curiousity, have you done P90X or P90X If so, what did you think?

Yes it a 60 day rotation. I have done P90X. They are two different programs. Insanity is all cardio/interval training with body weight stuff like pushups, tricep dis, etc. I like both programs and it may be fun to combine both and do P90X 3 days per week and Insanity 3 days per week for your cardio. HOpe this helps some. I did have to take a break from Insanity as all the pushups gave me a case of shoulder tendonitits but i do think its a fun program.

Thanks for tips! And I hope your shoulder recuperation is quick!
