    try some deep squats and front squats, make sure you have good form, take the weight down if you need to and go for 20 rep squats. also, try deep half squats, basically go deep but only come halfway up and back down.

    So the wider the squat stance, the more stress on the glutes?. My glutes are kinda lacking size so I was wondering what it takes to make it grow more than my thighs.

    id probly say cut the BF% down, my friend is around 250.. he squats probly around 550 if hes fresh and his ass is huge and he walks with a waddle rofl... your probly fine tho man ur only like 136.. maybe run more for definition or somthing to make it leaner id say thats ur best bet

    I switch to front squats or leg extension for awhile if you become worried about disproportions.

    I've been doing front squats and leg press exclusively for the past few months as my main quad exercises. Even olympic back squats hit my glutes the hardest.

    I don't squat much and I already have a big ass (most of my weight is in my thighs+ass, which is rare for a guy). I don't feel like squatting because of this reason, I don't want my ass/thighs to be even bigger. Girls love it how it is now though, anyone else with this problem ? Should I still work out and lose weight or what? I'm not overweight upper-body at all.

    Genetics play a role, as well as the way you do your squats (all of which has been said). What has worked for me has been to not change my squat style since I've found my comfort zone there, but instead work harder at things like heavy leg pressing, my SLDL or RDL lifts for my hammies, plus limited isolation work (single leg leg extension or single leg ham curls) to try and keep the rest of my legs in proportion. Seems to be doing the trick. But everyone's different...

    I've had similar problems-I also have lordosis as well, so along with correcting my posture I've had to work on various things such as stronger abs, hams etc. I digress though-my ass is still gigantic and throws out my poportions LOL, in my case I still squat but have switched to front squats.

    Unless your glutes are bothering you that much, keep squating bro. The legs will catch up in time. Failing that, switch to front squats.
