Stats help (1200 reps)
Will rep helpful responses
say you have 3 conditions:
Full attention
partially-divided attention
fully-divided attention
you conduct an omnibus ANOVA and find that some of the means differ significantly, and have an R-squared value of 0.75
so you decided to conduct a planned comparison, and compare Full attention to partially and fully divided attention combined
you calculate a contrast, get a t value and determine whether the difference is significant
However, my question is: is it possible to calculate a statistical effect size from this?
also, anyone know the correct APA format to describe error bars in a graph (do you just put +/1 SD in one of the title axes...I'll clarify this if its unclear
again, will rep thanks

I'm thinking of taking my t-value...converting it to an F-ratio and using that to calculate a partial eta-squared (or partial r-squared)...anybody approve?

no worries bro
not really about being smart when it comes to stats...its just being exposed to it at some time in your life...I just happen to be auditing a course and helping out the gf with an assignment...thanks again
