I was always under the impression that i only needed straps for really heavy weight... Which for me would be over 300 lbs.
Should i be using straps for my working sets around 200 lbs?

Depends how your grip is on heavier stuff. If the weight effects your grip then you might wanna use straps.

if your grip isn't a limiting factor then it's no big deal

I dunno if anyone asked this, but was there a way you could have prevented your chest injury? Or, was it your bad luck?

What your recommendation for noob like me,
When I deadlift near my best efforts, my back starts placing tremendous pressure on my lower back, is this mental thing I should push through with?
- I have slight back scoliosis
- DL 3x345 lbs, I place deadlift as my 3rd back excercise, so hopefully I could do more.
Thanks.
BTW -> Anyone ever compared your face during 645 lbs DL to DUFF from foodnetwork "Ace of cake"?

So would you recommend staying away from wide grip benching all together? Is there any real benefit to a wide grip over a medium grip

very much so. I know few people who bench heavy with a wide grip and don't have some kind of shoulder problems or pec tear

Looking massive, dude!
As of right now, how many weeks do you plan to diet for the show, or too tough to say right now?
I know you were doing PL competitions for a little bit. Plans to do any more in the interim?
Also, sorry for the rapid-fire, but where do you walk to after you finish the intense sets in your video? Do you walk around the gym getting in people's faces screaming, "Is that all you got!?"
JK - love the intensity.

good stuff Layne. You are definitely a role model, and many should seek inspiration through your seemingly effortless determination.
