First Competition in June 2010, need to lose 40lbs... enough time?? Advice! :)

Hello. I had a quick question for anyone who has trained someone for a figure competition or has competed in one themselves. I am looking to compete in my first competition in June 2010. I have about 45 pounds that I would like to lose prior to the competition and obviously get toned up (I do not currently look like my avi --- this was me a few months ago but due some emotional things going on in my life I slipped back to my old ways).

I am planning on starting my training the 1st of September, which will allow me 40 weeks to the competition. My question is, is this enough time to loose the weight and get in good enough shape to compete? I work from home and will have the time and ability to workout a lot and have a clean diet... I'm just worried if that is too much weight to loose in that amount of time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks and wish me luck

I am no expert by anymeans, but I totally think you can do it! 40wks is a lot of time and even if you feel that you're not 100% ready, you can always pick another show. Is there a reason you're waiting until Sept. to start??? Why not start today?? I dont know if you have a trainer/coach that you are working with, but it would help...especially with the diet.

GOOD LUCK

You can definitely do it. You are giving yourself tons of time and if you stick to it you will succeed.
