Make a very obvious move that shows you're interested in being more than just friends. But if you do something bold to get out of the friend zone and it does not work, you probably will still be out of the friend zone, just not getting any either.

You cant. You simply cut your loses and with that person in the respects that there will be more of a relationship or sexual relations if thats what you were looking for. You dont be a jerk and not be there for her, you just simply learn from the situation and never get stuck in it again with others. BTW its not horrible to be that friend she can count on but you cant not live your life with only regards for her...which to some women will seem like you are not there for them. Ironic huh?

This. Stop giving her attention, don't initiate anything. She already thinks of you as just a friend and not a potential bf, so you have to make her forget that. If you always hang around her you're enforcing her belief that you're just a friend. Ignore but don't be butthurt and try to get with other girls. 1. Take said broad to a party
2. Drink
3. Dance and flirt with her
4. Win either way .. If she goes for it then shes keen and you're out .. otherwise you know you aren't getting in anytime soon..

Even if you do distance yourself, if she's got half a brain she'll suck you back in with some sexually suggestive comment. You'll take the bait and then she'll shoot you down with "we're just friends remember" then you lose the battle. It can be a battle sometimes.
