Heard it is a great approach to workouts and excercising. Seen and heard about it and am very stoked.
Anyone ever done Crossfit? If so, can you please discuss?

Good for GPP. Not for bodybuilders, powerlifters, nor is it sport specific.

A young man like you would probably be better served by focusing on strength for a while and making the most of your novice gains.

Using it because I heard it prepares you like crazy for the military.
So they post new workouts each week? They got stuff like running 400m with a 80lb bag, which sounds like hella fun. I would rather train with the people there so I do not have to buy equiptment."The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war,"

I have been working out for about 5 years now and have a strong base, I too am looking at joining a crossfit gym in a month or so when I move to Orlando. The workouts seem to be fun and it looks like a great way to get ripped and cut. By no means am I trying to look like Ronnie, but more athletic and ripped

I think that what was being said is that Big 3 lifts aren't sport specific outside of powerlifting. Much like throwing a football isn't sport specific outside of football or kicking a soccer ball is outside of soccer.
The general carry over to other applications is good, but you don't see bench pressing as a component of playing football or being a hockey player. Strength and athleticism (balance, conditioning, flexibility, et al.) are necessary no matter what sport you play... even if your sport is powerlifting.GoRuck Challenge Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=150446113

Dear god lock this nonsense already mods. We dont need any more of this. CROSSFIT IS NOT BODYBUILDING AND BODYBUILDING IS NOT CROSSFIT. GET BIG -> BODY BUILD. GET CROSS FIT -> CROSSFIT . Enough said now die already.

You can gain balance, flexibility, and conditioning with a variance of body building. Im tired of people arguing. Every body reacts differently to different programs. Stop saying yours is better on both sides of the spectrum. Obviously crossfit works for them and bodybuilding works for us. No one is better. End discussion.

Whoa there, Tex.
What about my post remotely said any of this? Quit jumping the gun, I'm not arguing for or against anything. If you don't like the thread, stay out. I'm not interested in re-hashing any of this again either, but if you open your brain and read what I posted, I was helping to clear up another post, not even talking about crossfit.
If you have an issue, seek out a mod or report the thread. Arguing with yourself or getting mad about things that nobody said is worthless.GoRuck Challenge Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=150446113

The same old debate is irritating something somewhere deep down inside of me. You do not wish me to post pics of where.
Trust me.
Thanks guys.
