Going to be a 3L. I'd rather keep going to law school than work honestly though. Having money is good, but school > work no matter what. I'm going on my 7th year of school in a row, and I'd still rather keep doing this forever than work. Anyone who is excited to go into the "real world" either is nuts or didn't have any kind of fun school experience.

One year left of schooling for my PharmD here (then one year of rotations). Scary to know you're almost done. It's a weird feeling. I want to go out and start my life, get real paychecks for once but it won't ever beat being in school.

Best tip anyone can give you is just do as well on your LSAT as you can, it will make everything else a lot easier. Scholarship is directly related to LSAT scores, you get scholarships by applying to schools where your LSAT is significantly higher than their median/average LSAT.
Personal statement is just a soft factor, only adds extra padding to your credentials. Don't make a generic personal statement, usually people will write them about major life changing experiences they had, overcoming a challenge, or somethign else like that. DON"T do one about "why I wanna go to law school" unless the school specifically says to on their app.

if I have to work in life, law is by far the thing that interests me the most. What kind of moron would rather work fulltime forever than have a blast as a student though? There is no job I'd actually rather go into over being a student, but as I have no choice since I have to be a productive member of society, I might as well go into the field that interests me

I have no clue what you are even talking about? I'm not just mindlessly in law school for no reason, I actually want to be an attorney. Just because I'd rather be a student forever than work in any industry doesn't mean I don't want to be here. PhD is useless to get after a law degree, there is no reason I would need one. Most people have PhD's first, then switch and want to go into law school, not the other way around.

well luckily I realize being lazy isn't going to get me anywhere, and my best bet at enjoying the working life is busting my a$$ to set myself up for the best position I can get in life, so I absolutely bust my a$$ with anything related to law. And I actually like the subject and enjoy talking about it, so it's a whole lot easier to dedicate all your time to something if it's something you actually find interesting.

The research a PhD student produces benefits society much more than almost anything else.
Although it is rare, a dual degree (PhD and Law) is highly respected. Lets say you want to get into patent law. Having a phd in biochemistry will make you an extremely qualified lawyer for many pharmaceutical companies. In fact, it is highly likely to make you the top lawyer in your field.
Am I saying you need a PhD? No. Im saying if you want to stay in school you can. I'm sick of people bitching about their problems on the internet when there is clear way to solve them.
