    Less Fat = Defined Jawline?

I have a messed up jaw, and basically my neck slopes down instead of having a defined jawline. Would losing fat help develop a stronger jawline?

I looked at your pic I think my situation was worse when I was at my heaviest... My neck was basically not really there but instead my head looked like it connected to my body without a neck because I had so much fat. Now 104 lbs later I got a jawline now, adams apple showing, veins and stuff are now pretty visible and my collar bone is totally visible now. I got no loose skin or anything on my neck just this skin that "feels" loose under my chin if i rub it.

Seeing as very little body fat is held on the face, the best thing you can do is tone down on the foods that puff up your face like milk (which some people are slightly allergic to and develop a puffy face from it, nevermind the fact that cows milk has only entered the food pyramid in the last couple hundred years at most), drink a lot of water to avoid blood vessels swelling, and keep a balanced diet with healthy fats which keeps your skin tight and elastic.

The only thing thats going to make a real difference is hormone treatment which if used over time will give you a jay leno chin if you take it long enough.

The face is often times the first or one of the first spots where fat is burned while losing weight.

Yes, loosing weight will help define your jawline more, however genetics also play a role. I can't seem to view your pic, but you may need to consult with an orthodontist if you have an overbite. Also, water retention can make a big difference too-

Get a Brainpad (Mouthguard) and enroll in a MuayThai or Brazilian Jit-Juisi class. After about a month or two, your jawline will be more defined and 10x stronger from biting down on the Mouthguard. Also another benefit is, you will probably lose some Fat, cause MT and BJJ are very intense...

I've got the same thing going on. Slightly weak chin, plus excess bodyfat (I am somewhat skinny fat) and I don't have a pronounced/defined jawline.

    In my experience:
I have a strong jaw line. I have never been overweight (20lb or more) BUT I also didn't always have a strong jawline. I grew into it, leading me to believe that it is more about bone structure and genetics. My brother used to weigh 350. Even when he dropped to 215, he didn't have a great jawline... Just an insight.
