Oats in smoothie

When you guys put oats to make a smoothie do you just put them in raw or cook the oatmeal first then put in smoothie and blend?

Or doesn't it matter what method you choose?

Thanks

I just put the oats in. If you want though, putting them after you cook them would work. I find that if you dont cook them, they sink to the bottom.

what you do first
is blend the oats to the point just before they turn into a powder.

pour it into a cup and continue making the smoothie until you get to a point halfway the shake where u put in the blended oats - and blend the damn thing!

works good.!

if you add a little xanthum gum or guar gum (I'm talking less than a 'pinch' < 1/10th of a teaspoon type stuff) then the shake goes thick and the oats don't all sink to the bottom too....

Thumbs up just blend like hell

Bro just toss the oats in raw and blend the sh!t out of your shake for about 20-25 seconds and its pretty much unnoticeable by then.

I've done it both ways and found that if you throw cooked oats in, you generally have a smoothie that is a bit creamier. Both ways work just fine and taste good.
