Harcore Holly Blasts Mr. Kennedy, Shoots On WWE, More

Former WWE star Bob ?Hardcore? Holly was recently intervewed by InsidePulse.com. Here are some highlights:
On the future of WWE: "Yeah, there?s nobody there who has the dedication, the focus, the ability to tell a story ? at least not at the level that they need to move into the upper level. Even if they did, they?d still have to deal with the current group of guys at the top anyway and I don?t see them moving for a while. John Morrison, for example, he?s good but it?s too early. He?s stuck at a level and he?s good where he is but he needs to focus and learn from the older guys to really click at the top level.?
On Ken Anderson, formerly known as Mr. Kennedy: ?That mother----er? he?s a dead man walking. I told VPW (indy promotion) that if they get him on their show, I?ll not only work for free but I?ll fly myself in too. If I ever see him again, I?m going to jail, that?s all there is to it.?
Why WWE didn?t do anything with him: ?I have no idea. It?s something that Jericho would say to me often, he?d say he didn?t have a clue why they couldn?t use me more. I?ve been in the business for twenty years, I know how to tell a story, I?m safe to work with and the boys respect me but I guess they just don?t want to put over some people. Hell, even ?Taker went to Vince to ask about doing an extended program with me but Vince shot the idea down.?

I feel like he could have told a story if given the chance... his return vs. Brock was compelling, which surprised me because they let him work the mic and it seemed real... of course, it actually was REAL, but the watered-down tough guy face thing got so old.

I listen to Wrestling Observer Radio, and this morning Dave Meltzer was talking about how several wrestlers complained to management about how dangerous Kennedy was to work with and how he was going to seriously injure some people. I also have heard in the past that Kennedy is a horrible worker to be in the ring with because he dead weights people, wiggles around a lot when his opponent is lifting him, and does a bunch of stupid little things that makes it harder and even less safe to have a match with him.
This is a classic example from two years ago:
Now on the surface, it looks like a great match (and it was.) But if you look closely, you'll see, especially when Kennedy and Michaels are in the ring, that Kennedy was roughhousing Michaels and yanking him everywhere. Michaels eventually got so pissed at Kennedy that when Kennedy is mounting him that Shawn started throwing punches from the bottom which he never does. Then, Hardy who had seen all this and experiences it himself just absolutely tackles Kennedy at one point and then completely flattens him with the Swanton.
The final straw on the night of his big return, just to prove that Kennedy never got better, is this gif file:
Kennedy takes one of the most rudimentary moves (a back suplex), and drops Orton right on his shoulder. And remember, Orton once broke his collarbone. That's why Orton absolutely drilled him with the RKO later on.
So the knock on Kennedy is that he is unsafe to work with, which is why he was fired.

I totally agree with morrison though. I mean he seems like he is too much for the IC/US titles(though should get a nice long run with the IC) and yet he's just not QUITE at the WHC level. he can fight in main events sure but i just dont see him winning n stuff... Just something doesn't quite seem champ level... :/
But yeah, Kennedy if you remember is the last person i believe Lashley faced in WWE cuz he ****ed up his shoulder then Lashley left. Then Kennedy went and injured Cena which i thank him for, and yeah... he has a habit of injurin guys

Wow, how messed up is that? Not only was he in the world's top wrestling promotion, but he was set for a mega-push. Strong **** up. Someone should go back to wrestling school.

Actually Im willing to bet a big part of being in the wwe is being respected and being safe to work with. You dont want to wrestle some fool that might get you injured.
