Uh... I think it might also depend just HOW hungover you're talking lol. Like, head-achey/sleepy/lethargic? Prolly no harm done hitting the gym. Puking/dizzy/feel-like-you've-been-hit-by-a-mac-truck-10x-over? I'd say skip it (which would prolly also be appreciated by your fellow gym-goers, too haha)

Lol thanks for the input...I went this morning before I posted this and was just curious if I was doing my body any good or just wasting my time. It wasn't a horrible hangover, more tired than anything and my lifts were definitely not on par. I usually just take a day off if I drink the night before but I was dead set on doing legs today so I went anyways haha.

Last time I was out drinking when I got home I drank 4-5 glasses of water. Woke up, felt fine, went to the gym early. However, my body wasn't really ready for it and felt sluggish and stiff for the work out, but after I felt a lot better than I did if I had just slept in all morning.

If you know you want to work out the next day... eat a big meal(preferrably a slow digesting one) before you start drinking. Drink water in between every or every other drink. Take a protein shake and drink water when done drinking. Shouldn't mess up gains too bad. This might be broscience but doing these things have helped me stay focused and reduce hangovers so I can still get a good work out the next day.

True. For some reason whenever I drink I have a horrible time sleeping and usually wake up after 5-6 hours...sometimes still drunk. From there it's sleep for an hour then wake up again and hopefully feel a little better. I definitely feel a little better now that I lifted earlier than I would have if I hadn't.

If ur lookin for gains, hangover is no good - just takes one of your planned sessions on specific body part and ruins it... I do find it makes you feel better tho, so I usually wait till the eve after the day before and throw in an extra session that isn't my norm before doing my norm the following day - just to kick start the body!

I don't lift hungover, like ever. I like pushing myself as hard as I can in the gym, I do not like doing that hungover. Thus, I just wait till the next day. I lift 4 times a week, so it's not hard/detrimental to just shift it one day.
