    Keto vs High Blood Presure

Does anybody know something about raising blood pressure levels after began keto?

    Additional facts:

    -type 2 diabetic (~110 mg/dl morning, fasted)
    -second week on keto
-I found something related explaining that this is temporary and occurs due to the stress on switching from carbs to fat fuelled
-Another info I founded is that this is related to lack of potassium
-I am not on ketosis yet
-protein ~150-170 g; carbs < 50 g; fats: the remaining until reach my deficit intake

    Any help will be appreciated

I have not read any papers that indicated this is a big issue. Make sure that your sodium intake is low (ie, I could see someone switching to keto and in the process changing to foods with more salt then having more blood pressure issues).

    Agree with you.

My blood sugar is still dropping and is slower than normal due to fatty liver.
With high blood sugar, kidneys are still gathering more salt than normal.
This fact coincides with two distinct days I´ve read the most high blood pressure values: two days that I ate bacon and deli meat.

    Avoiding them now.

    Thank you Heisman2

ps: today I woke up in the 'best' blood sugar measurement for 2018-2020: 103 mg/dl. I say 'best' because dawn phenomenon and, still with this, the value is almost classified as a normal guy. keto doing miracles...

Type 2? Literally just start fasting and that **** will heal in a few weeks. Literally that easy. Eat piles of meat and veggies. Then fast. Then repeat.

It's not that simple. People with type 2 diabetes will have a hemoglobin A1c above 6.5. If it's >10 it's unlikely to go away no matter how good of a nutrition & exercise regimen you follow. If it's <10 you have a chance of reversing it by losing all excess bodyfat, eliminating added sugar from your diet and preferentially staying away from high glycemic index foods, and following a fairly intense exercise regimen with resistance and cardiovascular training. It will certainly take more than a few weeks. I have seen nothing to suggest fasting will be especially helpful.
