"Surprise 'em", ever wanted to surprise someone with weight loss?
Have you ever wanted to surprise someone with immense weight loss? Healthy weight loss (of course). Ever wanted to get into the dress that seems so amazing but doesn't fit you? Want to burn those calories and make the change? Change the way people see you? It is possible to change people's behavior towards you~
Anyone wanting to make that unexpected change that will turn your world, right side up?

Yep, going to school this fall and I want to come back this Christmas looking all kinds of ripped. I'm 230 lbs., 25% body fat, and fairly soft. I figure a solid four months of training and dedication I can definitely achieve my short term goal of 195 and 11-13% bf.

When I lost my first 50lbs I wanted to surprise my family and friends. A lot of them were positive about it. A lot of my friends were like "man how'd you do it", or "man you lost HELLA weight". Some of my friends didn't comment and some of them didn't even notice the 50lb loss.
After that I didn't really care to surpise anyone after any further weight loss. When I lost another 30-40lbs. Friends were saying "Oh my god stop losing weight I can barely recognize you anymore" , "you're starting to look like a whole different person".

Is anyone still trying to shock people - I mean with regards to continued weight loss? I've planned to pay a visit to my folks after a couple of months and give them a pleasant shock and true, wana feel proud..

Haha.. I did it before, I was actually trying to lose it for my ex. It was awesome to show her up, get her back and show her a different person. A person who was more dedicated, disciplined and deserving. But in the end I found, that i deserved better and it wasnt worth it...

Nothing feels like anything close than making an ex feel sorry for a past relationship especially if you are on the better side of life ~.

Of course, it's part of the thing that keeps me motivated. I like to see how drastic a change I can make in a short amount of time so when i see people again they're like wow! It's like a competition with myself, and i'm very very competative. So it helps keep me going.

basically exactly where I started two months ago, we have pretty much identical goals..

I'm to the point that I'd prefer not seeing some friends or people for some time deliberately so they can be honest and give me an outside look of how I'm doing (I see them looking at me and double checking ... so I know they have seen something). I notice male friends are less eager to comment unless the weight comes into the discussion (about them or someone others), they're like "btw, you have melted!". Female friends are more expressive and directly bring the appearance topic as soon as they see you.

I surprised a bunch of people when I lost like 30lbs during the spring semester.. nothing like going from having a stomach to having abs. I still get comments on it and my best friend was pushing me all the way. I just decided that it was time to change coming off of a 3 year relationship.

In my personal training practice, I offer a special promotion for just this.
Its called my summer special. Students pay a certain (undisclosed) amount, and its for the whole summer of training. I've had students end school, and go back 40 lbs smaller. Or some even 20lbs bigger. Depends on their goals.
They actually get excited to go to school. Its kind of cool.

I only see my family once a year or so, usually around my birthday, so after my first weight loss of 50 pounds they were very excited, this time i'm going to be a tighter, thinner, and more in shape version than they've ever seen.

Yeah, I honestly can't wait to go back to school on the 26th. I've lost 20lbs over the summer, so I'd like to see the reaction of some people when they see me. I my ultimate goal was to lose weight during the summer, which is alot of people's goal, and then I'll slow bulk during the school year.
Looking forward to it, but not the work, haha.

I'm in a full time career job, it's funny, the people you see everyday, don' really notice. I'm down nearly 50lbs and one guy just said yesterday "You lose'n weight Dust??" lol I'm like, yep, knockin it out man. He said I was looking good, that felt good b/c he's in really good shape for an older dude, he trains MMA and worksout all the time. (no homo) Since I rarely go to the bars I used to go to all the time, when I go I hear a lot of good stuff. I'm pretty sure I never want these compliments to stop, therefor, I'll never stop eating the way I am and working out. I owe a lot to this site and seeing the progress pics, fat to fit are awesome.
Oh and putting an old pic of me at 273 on my fridge, I see that and reach for good stuff, no more wings and beer or ice cream.
Just had a friend come over on Monday I haven't seen in a while and he was like "dude.... you don't even look the same anymore!"
Effin love it

Of course everyone wants to have people be shocked with your great effort, thats natural.
A thing to keep in mind is that once you lose weight, you will still be the same person, just thinner. Its not going to solve your problems.
Do it for yourself.

One of my goals whilst here in Afghanistan was to surprise the wife/family when I get back. Last deployment I sent pics throughout the duration so no surprise then...
Havent sent any this deployment... my camera "broke" heheh
3 months into it and dropped 29 lbs. Originally wanted to get to 185 but almost there already...Reset the goal now and have about 10 more to go over the next 3 months... Would love to have the abs showing but only time will tell on it.

Main reason for me is to shock myself to sticking with it to live a heathier life, not only for me, but my family as well.
It will be nice to hear about losing weight as I am sure my parents will notice. I haven't seen them in a good month and will see them the first time next week. Should have shredded a good 20 pounds by then and be under 300 for the first time in ages!
And will keep on going!

I surprised myself with a weight loss. Nice curl bar. No idea where it got too. I mean, weights are heavy, they don't just wander off. Ah well.

Yup
I am going to visit my friend next week who I haven't seen in 4 years. I was huge last time she saw me- I was in a womens 16-18 and now I am in a size 8 (woot-woot very proud of that) I still have more chunk to go but the last bit is a bitch- She has only seen pics of me.
So excited. I love running into people I haven't seen.
My next reveal is when my guy returns from deployment next year (he doesn't leave for a couple more months) but my goal is by the time he returns I am at my goal the day I pick him up at the welcome home ceremony
I'm getting in shape and losing weight simply because I am tired of being chunky buns- and the rest is just an added perk- plus I am enjoying shopping much more now

It's great to know how u guys feel, hope the same works out for me. "I've got a hectic full time job that doesn't give me much time to workout and eat healthy." This is what I used to say to stop people advising me about my weight! Its time I stopped ruining my health with that excuse, No more excuses~ To hike my motivation, I've set a reward. If I reach my goal, I get to go for a vacation that includes a backwaters' homeboat for me and my friends ( and the catch is my expense would be taken care of by my friends, it's their idea for a bet anyway.) Did you guys have any motivation of that sort?
