    A good topical for tendonitis?

Looking for something that is effective and applied topically. I have pain right near and/or where my ulnar collateral ligament connects to my medial epycondial of my right forearm. It seems like the pain is somewhat at the insertion of the brachialis too or maybe the tendon.

It hurts, though the pain is not excruciating. It does affect some of my lifts somewhat.

I'm taking a crapload of joint/tendon support sups and that has helped a lot, but I would like to get rid of the last bit of nagging pain.

Ice. All topicals, even tiger balm seem to inflame.

Dunno what the brand name is over there, but Voltaren Gel would be recommended.

there is evidence to suggest that topical use of NSAID's has only a slight affect on inflammation when compared to a placebo. The active ingredient in question is diclofenac (voltarol).
Having said that i banged my knee recently and used some Presciption only Ibuprofen gel 10% (ibugel) on it and it helped a bit. Over the counter stuff is usually 5%, i would go and see a doctor and ask for something stronger. Ibugel 10%, i would recommend, in the UK.

I use ice myself and Aleve which IMHO works way better than anything OTC.

aleve didn't help me, but i never got diagnosed, i healed before the docs sent me for MRI. i was injured just long enough. for tendonitis, ICE! ice bag is one of the smartest things i've bought, i ice my wrists after training depending on what lifts i do. also, fish oil might help.

Voltaren is also an anti-fibrinoid, which makes it different from other NSAID's and hence my sugegstion. Lasonil and Hirudoid are also anti-fibrinoids, which may be more effective when the condition is tendonosis and not tendonitis.

I've been using Glucosamine, MSM & Arnica Lotion & Celadrin Topical Liposome Lotion for about a week and have noticed a considerable improvement.
