Another one of those newbies...haha
The site has been in my favourites for months, but now I'm beginning to appreciate it more and more. I'll be trying to get some fine muscle tone and definition on my body this year, and have decided today is day number one.
Here's some some of plan I have in my head how this is gonna work out...
Work out:
SAT 20 Min Elliptical + 30 Min Pilates
SUN Off
MON 20 Min HIIT + Circuit
TUES 20 Min Elliptical + Pilates
WED 20 Min HIIT + Circuit
THURS Off
FRI 30 Min Elliptical + Circuit
Menu (variations of some sort):
Meal 1: protein pancake (4 egg whites, 1 whole, 1/2 c oats, 1 scoop protein)
Meal 2 (Pre-work): 1 scoop protein w. water + 1/2 grapefruit
Meal 3 (Post-work): 4 oz chicken + 1 ww tortilla + salsa + asparagus
Meal 4:Protein shake w. 1% milk + 1/2 c oats
Meal 5: tuna + 1 c steamed vegetables + 3 oz sweet potatoe
Meal 6: 1 c ff cottage cheese + 1 oz almonds
How's it lookin'?

Hi and welcome! Seems like a lot of cardio for someone your height/weight. Whats your cuircut training like? Full body? Are you wanting to build some muscle or maintain what you have?
A few more servings a healthy fats would be good in there too, otherwise pretty good food choices.

I'm definitely looking to add weight, so muscle gain would be premium. Then I guess I could also cut some of the cardio, add another pilates session in there...
And yes, full body as of now, but I might go push/pull or upper/lower on alternate dates. That way it won't get so repetitive!

- post workout: might consider shake rather than solid foods, and a higher gi carb source.
- seems like a lotta cardio, imho, or maybe not
- may need more fats....i only see almonds in there in the last meal, add fats to ur other meals
- may need more calories if ur exercising so much.

Thank you! I'll cut down on the cardio. What's your opinion of CLA caps/another source of fats?

I don't know much about Cla...but other sources of fats could be peanut butter, egg yolk, flaxseed oil, fish oil, olive oil.

Bump. I see CLA as more of a supplement. Try and get your fats from food sources, as they'll be more satisfying... and tasty!
Peanut butter, peanuts, almond butter, almonds, olive oil, olives, flax oil, flax seeds, egg yolks, animal fats (such as from beef, in a limited amount), salmon, halibut, etc. etc. etc. All great sources.
Fats in pill form such as CLA and Fish oil are perfectly acceptable... but what sounds tastier... a cap of CLA, or a heaping tablespoon of natural peanut butter!? Yum!
