Can posing help give you more of a defined striated look?
I was watching the Mr Olympia prejudging last night and one of the commentators Dennis James I believe his name was said and emphasize the importance of posing. He said that not only is posing very difficult to do but it also helps giving your body that striated look and more separation and lines between your muscles. Is this true?
It is an old school thing. Arnold was a big proponent of posing to improve conditioning as you came closer to the show. Honestly, sounds like bro-science to me, but at the same time, it cannot hurt to practice posing, so why not do it.
You CAN learn better muscle control and how to better showcase and display your physique, thus making it appear bigger and more conditioned. Whether it actually does this, I think that is up in the air.
