Alright fellas I've been trying to follow a couple of bulk diets to get my puny ass over to about 175 lbs from 162 lbs but I can't do it.
I've been reading about eating like 6 egg whites for breakfast, and fruit and a couple of pieces of toast, and that's just breakfast!!
Anyway, the problem is, I don't get all that hungry that much, and when I do I simply cannot stomach that much food before starting to get a gag reflex and feel like throwing up! I can't physically eat all that food...I've tried.
Most programs say eat about every 2 hours or so but I don't get that hungry that often.
I feel trapped, I wanna gain some mass but my stomach is just too small or something. I tried to drink a bunch of protein shakes in a day to make up for my protein and calorie deficit (even though I prefer real food) but even then I get filled up. Heck, I even get a little pudge in my stomach when I eat "too much", which for me is like a whole wheat sandwhich and some fruit.
So what do I do? Please help.

The hardest part about bulking at around our weight is the fear of gaining any fat whatsoever. I still am having trouble bulking from it. I have so much pity or anoretics.
Don't try to go crazy with eating, do it slowly but surely. I have been using this method from this article http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/eating_made_simple.htm
Just eat one extra carb and one extra protein serving at a time when you are not hungry each day and you will be fine. Will rep back 250+

I've found this to be my biggest problem when it comes to weight lifting/getting big. After a few weeks of eating tons trying to bulk, I just get sick of it and really have work hard to take in enough calories. I've found that a good weight gainer shake is a great way to add almost a third of your daily calories in a relatively unfilling way. I like Muscle Juice, which they sell on here. ~1000Calories per serving and its only $22ish for a 10.5 lb tub. Keep eating!!!

ageed. Everyone who is having trouble bulking is a piece of crap. I could easily, and I literally mean easily pack away 3k calories in a meal. How the **** can u guys not do it in a day. I can see not being able to afford it, but to not be able to stomach it. If you cant eat 10k calories in a day, something is wrong with you. Ulcers????
Example of a 3k meal that is prtetty clean if u ask me(this is the hardest way i can think of getting calories. if you are dirty bulking it would be so much easier):
Ham and cheese on WW-----------------600
PB+J- Whole Wheat+natty PB and jelly---550
Banana, orange, grapes-----------------250
A quart of milk (I drink skim, but u guys
bulking probably drink whole so it would
be way more calories than this even)----400
A big yogurt----------------------------200
spaghetti and chicken breast with suace
and a TableSp of Oliveoil ----------------550
and, then I would top the whole thing
off with oatmeal and strawberries ------350
OK, fine this is only 2900 calories, and it takes me a bout an hour to eat it. i will add a disclaimer that the spaghetti is eaten first followed by the sandwhiches with fruit. Then i eat yogurt and oatmeal. Two sandwhiched and some fruit and ac quart of milk and 3 ox spaghetti with 4 oz chicken is not a huge amount,. then its just the oatmeal and yogurt. This is what i had for postworkout yeasterday. How the hell can I eat this in an hour and you cannot manage to eat it in 24 hours????
(yes I am fasting today, so I am irate about people who say eating is hard. NOT EATING is 100000000000000000000000000000000000 times harder) go to any middle school and 12 year old girls will be eating more than you guys) this makes me ****ing rage when people post crap like this. How mature of you.
OP, your best bet so to opt for calorie dense foods. Remember fat grams are 9 cals per gram making them much more energy dense. That being said foods like ice cream and peanut butter should be an easy way to get calories in.
Try maybe a PB&J sandwich and a protein shake.
The key will be to forget about this clean food bull****, and eat the foods you enjoy. Why are you eat egg whites if your struggling with caloric intake, thats silly.
Just taking it slow and work your way up. Eat your favorite foods everyday, and get enough protein and you'll be alright. Fruits and veggies would also be a good addition to anyones diet if you can also do that as well.
Cook with more oils. Oil's are a great way to get more calories in. (use olive oil on your veggies/chicken).Just livin' the dream...

youre a clown. its funny you think you are cool because you can eat 10k cal a day. do yourself a favor and try to find something a little more worthy of bragging about. no one is going to hop on your dick here because you can stomach more food then others.
to the OP, being able to stomach large amounts of food comes with time. start at 100-200 above maintenance and gradually up your calories 100 a day until youve reached your desired daily intake. i know this isnt much help but time and patience is the key.

the problem is you think that's a lot of food. you need to tweak your interpretations of what A LOT of food is.
this is my typical breakfast minutes after i wake up:
5 whole hard boiled eggs
bowl of oats with milk and honey
1.5 scoops of ON Pro Complex in milk
turkey bacon
banana
less than 2 hrs later i have a PB&J sandwich on WW bread, cheese, mixed raw nuts
and another ON 100% whey shake about 30 mins after that.
if you cant get it down without feeling full/sick then just chew it up and wash it down with a big gulp of water. voila! food in the belly.
you need to EAT, son.

Yeah, some of you fellas need to chill out. Everyone is different and not everyone is like you or supposed to be like you. I have no problem eating and could easily consume 6-8000 cals a day. However, I don't expect everyone to be like me, nor would it be fair to make fun of them, make them feel bad, or tell them that something is wrong with them. What I should do is encourage them, help em out (isn't that what this forums is for) by giving them advice, or just keeping my FREAKING MOUTH SHUT if I don't have anything helpful to say. OP, like it was already mentioned try eating more calorie dense food. Another idea would be to add some more activity such as cardio to your regimen. I know the harder I workout or on days that I do some extra cardio my appetite is out of control. I wanna eat everything on these days. So up the intensity in the gym, add some cardio, eat more calorie dense food. Good luck.

This morning i switched over to a bulk from my 6mo cut.
I feel the pain of the OP. On the cut i was eating 1900 calories. Now I need to practically double that (3400). My stomach is not ready for high volume intake.
However, I calculated out a sample meal plan, and I ended up with 3266 calories, 326.2g protein, and 237.8g carbs. Fats i wasn't too concerned about, but it is probably a pretty low count.
All I really did was add 2 meals, and adjust my breakfast.
I added some greek yogurt to morning meals, swap in 8oz milk for 8oz water during all meals, and then add in 4 tbsp of peanut butter + 8oz milk as a mid-morning snack.
Before bedtime I'll be having a protein shake, roughly 3 hours after i've eaten dinner, so there should be plenty of room inside for the food. I imagine I'll go from 2 poops per day to 4 per day, but I'll also be happy to be eating again.MMMC/He-Man Crew

These aren't clean options, but they could give you a bit of a kick....
Some chinese supermarkets sell MSG salt, add that to your meals and you'll get hungry again in no time.
Have you tried marijuana? Plenty of people report an increased appetite on that.
You won't have to rely on these long term, but if a kick start os what you need, this'll do it.
Heh, just a quick idea before I hit "send" if you want to expant your stomach, eat a few cups of dry rice, then drink water.....

Well if you think you can't do it, then the battle's already over my friend.

Heck, I even get a little pudge in my stomach when I eat "too much", which for me is like a whole wheat sandwhich and some fruit.
That's a mistake a lot of newbies make. They think to get big they have to just shovel everything in sight into them without a worry. For some that's great (i adopted a similar approach when i gained my 45kgs all those years ago), but for others like you it's sometimes better to go slower and steadier. Instead of 3000cals one week, up it to 3250cals the next week etc. etc.
Increasing it without physically sickening yourself.
You can do it, you're just scared right now that's all. I always say to people this "are you happy now with your body?". They'll answer "no" of course (that's why they want to change obviously). So in your situation, what have you got to lose? What's different in Point A and Point B, if you don't like your body the way it is anyway?
Just doooo it. As long as you train hard, don't worry about turning into a fatty boombalada slapstick. It's when you eat tons of calories on a consistent basis and don't train at all whatsoever, is when things go pear shaped so to speak.advertising/self-promotion not permitted

he is because 6 eggqhites a half cup of oatmeal and 1/2 a banana is pathetically small. OP, i think you are dangerously sick(srs) if that makes you full. my memory of my first day of preschool was I got to eat oatmeal out of a big bowl (probably 1 cup unooked), and a whole banana and some pancakes. I was 4 years old, and i ate more than you. and my sister probably ate the same thing. There is something wrong with those of you who cant eat a lot. Every wild animal in the world would eat a crap ton of food if you gace them the chance.
This. i usually dont count my calories, but when I try to restrict them, I have a terribly hard time keeping it under 4k.
