Question How much protein can you absorb in 1 meal?

    Hi Ladies!

I have Tosca Reno's 'Eat Clean Cookbook' and I love it! I just noticed though that she says the average body cannot consume more than 25g of protein at a given meal and that the extra calories from the protein will be stored as fat - just as if you had eaten the calories from any other food macronutrients.

    Is this true?

no. it's BS. if you eat a large meal it takes longer to digest and provides a constant supply of nutrients to the body.

and any macronutrient can be stored as fat if you eat too much.

I thought so! I wondered why they'd make 40g protein bars etc if you couldn't absorb more than 25g.

Ok cool, thanks for clearing that up for me!
