for decades vit e was supposed to be very healthy. However, recent large studies and metaanalyses indicate that alpha-tocopherol might even be harmful, especially at higher doses.
IMO, the best thing is to go with the small amounts of vitamin e found in regular multivitamin products. What also could make sense is a low dosed dedicated product with mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols. I believe that as long the total dose is below 50 mg, one should not have anything to worry.
What i can say for sure is that the times of high dosed isolated alpha-tocopherol (200+ IU) are definitively over.
