Can someone point me in the direction of some information regarding vitamin E?

Looking for information on vitamin E supplementation - does anyone know a good resource?

I'm interested in learning about why someone might need a supplement, which forms are best to take, etc...

I've googled, but found mixed answers. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

for decades vit e was supposed to be very healthy. However, recent large studies and metaanalyses indicate that alpha-tocopherol might even be harmful, especially at higher doses.
IMO, the best thing is to go with the small amounts of vitamin e found in regular multivitamin products. What also could make sense is a low dosed dedicated product with mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols. I believe that as long the total dose is below 50 mg, one should not have anything to worry.
What i can say for sure is that the times of high dosed isolated alpha-tocopherol (200+ IU) are definitively over.
