I know of atleast 80% of my exes have done the exact same thing. Its all about attention, and all about trying to make somebody (the ex) WISH that they were still together and that the thought of knowing that your ex has another penis in her mouth will make you crawl back to her. First of all, to the ladies, if you want your man back, stay at home, be responsible, and act mature. This is the only way to get a REAL man back. But, you want to look like a slut thinking that he will be jealous and miss you, so you go out, party, sleep with numerous people in a week, but a real man will laugh and say to himself "lol i cant believe i dated that tramp" and proceed to never talk to the ex again. I would like to thank my exes that did these shenanigans, because even though i was sad for about a week (give or take, depending how much i cared for them) the first comment that i hear from a buddy "yea i heard she was sleepin with this dude and she says he is the best thing since the microwave" it made it so much easier to get over you. This goes to show how immature girls really are and how much they really depend on other people just to feel decent about themselves. It would be sad to be a girl and realize "hey, i probably wont get any attention if i try to have a dumb, unintelligent conversation with a guy, and i really need attention bc im really insecure and hate myself, so i guess i have to put x number of penises into my mouth this week so i feel wanted"

I have heard of girls doing that crap too. Retardation. If it's a decent guy or a real man, they definitely would not want you back if you did that. They would rather you were decent as well. For me, I had a guy whom I dated for 2 years in a serious relationship and he ended up leaving me with no warning whatsoever. Here I was thinking everything was just peachy and bam.. here comes the "I think we should take a break" conversation. Come to find out later on he cheated on me then decided to break up with me. I treated him like a dang king. But... instead of doing something stupid once he dumped me... I was upset but didn't show it. I just hung out with my friends, kept going to college and lived life the best I could with a broken heart. I didn't even talk to him if I seen him or if he called. I didn't care to. You know what it did to him? Made him WISH he hadn't done that. Made him come begging me to take him back. I just said heck no! That's what all girls SHOULD DO especially if he just left them from boredom and didn't cheat. Then they can get their guy back if they want them. Most relationships aren't worth it after the first break up though because there was a reason for it to end in the first place. Sorry such a long post but I was assuming only guys would reply to the OP.

Similar **** happened to me. ronically, my ex-girlfriend did the same **** at the ripe age of....19.

I can tell you in hindsight, part of it was my fault. She was a texter, so we would text each other feverishly. I would always go over her house, spend time with her, be with her nonstop, show my affection, take her out to eat, open doors for her, etc. etc.

She would always -- to my delight -- tell me no one has ever treated her like this before, I'm so good to her, yadda yaddda.

So what happened? Well, one thing is...I smothered her. A female explained it to me and it now makes perfect sense.

Sadly, not too long before I came along, she was dating this fcking scumbag (whom...if I may add, never fully left the picture until the end...and soon after we broke up!) who treated her like absolute horse****. My ex...who had a pretty ****ty past (drug related, alcohol, etc.) went from an ******* who hit her to quite the opposite. I treated her the best of my capabilities...but imagine going from one extreme to the other. It's a huge change and yes, it can be too much to handle.

Several times she told me that I was too good and there were times when she was like, "Maybe this isn't a good idea...you're too good for me." I kept fighting to keep it together...but once that is brought up, it's going to be over.

Long story short, she said that she her love for me "changed." All this ****. When we broke up, she wanted to remain friends. The TRUTH is, she cheated on me and wanted to get back with her "boyfriend."

It wasn't easy....not by a long shot. The girl whom I lost my virginity to, etc. but I told her that I needed time to heal. I stopped all contact.

It was the only way to get over her. She kept trying to call and text me, saying "I miss you" so I changed my number...

She kept e-mailing me and then finally flipped out when I wasn't contacting her. I never really spoke to her again...

I went to the gym to get over her. Took care of myself and knew that I wasn't wrong...that it was HER loss. Not mine.

But let's face the facts: Why did we date these people? I don't know what your circumstance was lovergirl, but I know that I tried - in essence - to "change" my girlfriend. Show them that, if you treat them with all the love, respect, etc. that they will avoid all the pitfalls that have plagued their lives. But straight up: You can't change anyone...they have to change for themselves.
