Blending my food -- Its effects on my metabolism and muscle gainin??

Eddie Abbew (IFBB pro body builder), claims and does blend 2 or three of his meals throughout the day for convenience.

I know digesting food helps speed up the metabolic rates for fat loss and so on. WOULD blending most of my meals have an effect on the ways inwhich I gain muscle and decrease the metabolic rates that i'd have with solid foods as less effort is used to digest liquids...??

I know it will digest faster, get into my blood faster too and probably speed up recovery by a short amount.


What else can anyone tell me about it, the negatives please and positives.

I can see someone who drinks their food being able to pack in more calories because they aren't chewing and it doesn't take so long to get the food in and for the body to recognize satiety.

Its mainly so I can fit in all what I need for the days for when I'm working and out and about.


As for getting tired of chewing, me myself sometimes find it a bore especially at night when Im cooking a salmon steak its just not what I want to be doing xD

I had to blend all my food and drink it through a straw for two months when my broken jaw was wired shut, so I'd rather slash my wrists than start drinking chicken-rice shakes again. If your nutrition is spot-on, you should be just fine eating food in its fairly natural state.

So my body's continually fed. I stick to every 2 hours at best. worst case scenario Its on the third hour I eat. Helps maintain an anabolic state.

Ive heard its disgusting. A friend of mine tried it and said I'd never manage it. I think I'll be up for it. Well I hope so, Im not giving up on the idea.
