Cool bab's alpha log of mass fx v3 beta

I was chosen here at bb.com to be one of the lucky few to log the newest edition of Mass FX. I've had and logged the other 2 versions, and had more cycles that I didn't log. I have had better and better success with each edition, so I hope it will continue here.

A little about me:

If you've seen my logs, I write them how I am- pretty laid back. I don't have anything to prove, and I know my self and my body, and when something is working, or isn't. Obviously this must not be a problem, lol.

I've never had a PH, PS, DS, AAS, or whatever. Not yet, at least, but no real plans for it. I was thinking about doing a cycle as a result of one of the circumstances I will deal with in this log- my car accident (I mentioned this in my app). I was thinking about writing a bodyblog about it, and may when I am bored. Long story short, I was stopped, and got slammed. Screwed up my shoulder, back, neck, even my legs (not to the same extent however). So, I went through about a month and a half of not working out as per doc's orders. Then I got back in the gym and realized I was not at all healthy, and have been in physical therapy. Came a long way, but still have more to go. The doctor says that at my age (21) and physical condition (fitness, etc) it should take me about 6 months to be back to 100% or close.

In the process of my recovery, I lost about 10-15lbs of what appears to be 90% muscle. Maybe a result of under training, whatever it is it sucks. I've been having a hell of a time getting it back, and I have 2 pounds back (woo!), but look good for my weight...not that I am exactly happy with where I am. I would rather not get into hormones, and I have high hopes for Mass FX v3. Other NHA/test boosters I have had are Novedex XT, Activate Xtreme, T-Bol, ATD, 6-oxo, formestane, X-Factor, Halodrol LGs, and probably another one or two I can't remember. I have also had a pure longjack supplement before.

One of my favorite effects of Mass FX (v1 and v2) is the mental edge. Every time I am on it, and am on court (tennis), I am in the zone. Haven't found a non stim that gives me that same feeling. In the gym, strength gains are always noticable, but take a couple weeks to really kick in it seems. What I am hoping for the most here is mass/muscle gain. I am sure the strength gains alone will help here.

So, I will be starting tomorrow, the 29th of July. According to the bottle, there are 98 caps, so the would make for 24.5 days at 4 caps/day, assuming I dont up the dose. Ill wait on word from AX reps about doing that, as this is a beta, so its their call.

Great to have on board with the testing I really wish you the best of luck in recovery from your accident. Man, that sucks. I have a labral tear in my right shoulder from a snowboarding fall I took last winter. It's been a long road to recovering and getting back to where I was prior to this injury, so I understand where you are coming from 100%.

Looking forward to you log!

As for dosing, yes, take 2 caps twice daily. So 2 caps when you wake up to take advantage of your already heightened testosterone production + 2 caps 8 hours later.

On lifting days, you can take one of your 2 cap servings about 45 minutes pre-workout

Thanks for having me. Yeah it sucks, but the only thing I can do about it is focus on getting better. Ill take 2 caps upon waking, which would work out perfectly. Hopefully Ill be coming down for the Emerald this next year.

Today was my first day on v3, not much to report. Today I had the schedule of 1 cap pre, 1 cap post, so tomorrow itll be 2 pre. It was back day, and I got a pretty good workout in. Its been record heat lately, as biceps would know, and Seattle had its all time high. Its been pretty crappy. Ate a good amount today, which I usually have trouble with in the high heat, though I am not done. I also took starting weight this morning so Ill have a way to measure progress. One thing I did notice however, no mass fx burps. Usually I get burning burps from mass fx if I dont chug down a couple glasses of water, but with my last dose I had just a couple mouthfuls and no burps. Maybe there is something in the new formula, maybe its coincidence.

At least its not so bad today. 105 or whatever, yeesh. Humid, so it sucked even worse. Yep, no reason why we'd have to wait for the emerald, although I am definitely going to the O this year.

I had absolutely killer sleep last night. It felt like I was on a melatonin sleep product, very deep and restful. Maybe its the zinc addition to the formula, as I usually dont get the awesome sleep from mass fx until the 2nd or 3rd week. I should have taken a stim something or other this morning though, as I was dragging ass in the gym on legs day. I might have tennis tonight as well, but at least I got some good work in. It sucks not even doing smith machine squats, let alone real ones. I would be Ive lost a lot of strength there, but Id rather not hurt myself trying to find out. I dont know if the 2 caps pre WO had any pump effect, but I sure got some good quad pumps and strength.

I decided to forego my arm workout today to clean. Ill get to it tomorrow, probably will go trail riding directly after though. I had NO appetite for the majority of the day for some reason. Very bad feeling. Slept good though, just like last night. I think I will be ordering some protein soon to help with getting enough in a day. Nothing new to report otherwise.

Other than I will be ordering my room and flight for the O soon

I just ride in some local trails, nothing that interesting. I forgot how good it is...I went sunday and will go tomorrow though. My chest workout monday didnt go as good as I hoped, as I am definitely still recovering. It sucks, but you have to do what you have to do. I have a physical therapy appointment in the morning so I may just go riding after that. It is such an awesome workout...especially in this awesome weather.

I havent gained much weight, and am fluctuating by 1-2 pounds. Ive kept my cals just a little above what they were before, but am not gaining weight, which is frustrating. However, I am seeing a leaning/recomp effect so maybe that is how its going to be. Still, Im going to up my cals a bit more and take in a bit more protein and see if thats what I need to get back on track.

PT: I have to limit training a bit. No squats, curls, overhead anything, nothing past shoulder (going back), specific shoulder/chest work, high reps. What ever, if thats what I have to do to get better, then ill do it. Id rather not get big and be healthy than not. Besides, I can still make good gains.

MFX V3.1: I forgot to mention my bottle is marked v3.1, not sure if that makes a difference. Im noticing some differences between this version and the previous ones. For one, I havent started getting gains really, when I would have with the others. I hope this picks up, but im not going to radically change anything out of respect for the beta. Libido is something mass fx really affects with me- I am 21 and dont have any problems, nor have I ever, but it just kicks my ass into overdrive. I see this effect within the first couple days, but I have yet to see it now. This isnt a big problem, but its odd since LJ should be a libido boost, along with the rest.

The ZONE feeling I get has kicked in, as evident in my tennis yesterday. Just for that effect I wish I could be on this stuff 365 days a year. Its really just awesome, and Im really pleased with v3.1 in that respect. Not sure if its me just breaking the ice with the people at my gym but I feel more confident all around too. Endurance seems to be up as well, and I saw this in biking, tennis, and in my back workout today. Im limited to row-type back work, stopping my elbows at my body. Still, I put up more poundage than I have before on a specific hammer strength machine.

Id like to see what this stuff could do with hyperdrol, but this needs to be kept solo. Maybe Ill get a bottle of another version or something for after the log and find out. That would also let me know what ~8 weeks of mass fx is like.

Well I am up 2 pounds. Ive noticed a good amount of recomp. However, no libido increase to speak of, and little strength increase above normal. On the upside, Ive noticed better endurance and still have that focus and in the zone feeling. I am not sure that this is that much better than v2 to be honest. My appetite has been **** lately, which is unusual for me especially during a mass fx run. At least the endurance is there for sure, as I find myself getting in more reps and more sets in the same workout set up. One definitely positive thing about v3 is I havent had any puffiness in my chest like I usually do with the other versions. Not sure why, but I havent.

This seems to be kind of a push with v2. It does some things better, and v2 does other things better. Maybe with the recomp effect and my felt loss of appetite, it would be a killer cutting agent. Not sure, but I still have a long way to go so theres no final judgment any time soon.

Good detail in the updates, its weird your noticing a decrease in hunger, maybe something will change in the next few days. Also getting those few extra reps and sets will likley add up to some pretty good gains in the end. Anyway good luck!!

I had a long response written up, but the POS server at bb.com crapped out again and didnt post it (came up to the error screen is some inane explanation).

Anyway the jist of what I wrote is that I agree that its odd that my appetite is lacking, especially with mass fx. I have been having crappy sleep for a while, but it may just be my shoulder. However, my definition has been great, with better and deeper striations in my thighs, arms, etc. Pretty happy with that.

I think Ill do another calorie load on Saturday or Sunday and see if that can kickstart my appetite.

Well, a week left. The great sleep is back, so thats good. Im confused on the appetite thing, as theres no real explanation. Its possible that I have a cold and am asymptomatic (at least in the typical symptoms), or just have a lot on my mind, but thats never been an issue for me...ever. Nonetheless, Ive noticed better definition, especially in my back and quads. I go in to PT Tuesday to find out if I have to go to a specialist...and probably get an MRI.

As of right now, I would prefer v2 over v3. Mass FX is targeted as a mass builder/bulker but I havent seen that myself. Not that I am displeased, but in my case it isn't doing much in that regard, and Im sure a lot of that is the appetite loss. Ill know for sure if it was the MFX when I am off it for a few days or a week.

There is a definite recomp effect going on. Im starting to think this appetite loss has nothing or little to do with mass fx v3, as it seems to be working even in a less than ideal diet set up. Eating less, but getting better definition and size...I noticed it in my arms today, much more vascularity. I will have to give this another go down the road and see how things work out then. All things considered, I am pretty happy with v3.

I made today a force feed day. Went to a buffet at a casino with family, and destroyed a big plate of mongolian grill, ham, steak, green beans, dessert. Feels good man. I think this will be a weekly thing for me, at least until school starts. I know Ill be doing that in Vegas for the O

Anyway, nothing new to report...waiting on word from doc about going to a specialist for my shoulder and back, but Im hitting the gym tomorrow.

Judging by how I am doing today, it is entirely possible I've been somewhat under the weather the entire time, thus the appetite loss. It doesnt make sense to lose appetite on this supplement, so its got to be something else. Maybe MFXv3 is why I havent lost weight. Sadly, tomorrow is the end, and I will write my final review then.

Wednesday's chest workout went great, but todays back workout was not so good. Even when spacing my workouts more, my shoulder still has problems. Hopefully I can get into a specialist and get this fixed, although I hope they do SOMETHING more than shoot me up with cortisone like my PT said. I want to avoid surgery...just want to be better though.

Rough weekend, so sorry for delay.

It would appear I have a stomach bug of some sort. This is probably why I haven't had an adequate (in the sense of having the typical mass fx increase) appetite. Despite this, I still put on 3 pounds during this log. Given that I was eating probably LESS than before the log, this is a great news. Additionally, I leaned out a bit as well, at least in terms of better vascularity.

The effects of v3 are a bit different from the other versions in my opinion. The other versions seemed to be more efficient at putting on mass, had a substantial libido boost, and more of an in the zone feeling. v3 seemed to have slightly more of a recomp effect, no libido boost personally, and not as extreme of a zoned feeling. This isnt a bad thing, just different. If I had the ability to choose from each of the three versions, I would first go with v2, then v3, then v1. I honestly feel v2 was gold, and AX wanted to know that v3 would be a major leap forward from v2, and do not believe it was. v2 remains one of my favorite supplements, especially as a mass builder. I thought the lack of libido boost was odd with the inclusion of LJ, but there you have it. With us younger guys, a libido boost is not important (at least the healthy ones), but to some it may be an important secondary effect. So, I thought v3 was good, but not better than v3.
