What is BodyForge
BodyForge is a highly active, performance based muscle-building system; designed to enhance the metabolic reactions within the body for increasing athletic performance levels while stimulating muscular growth. Through the enhancement of these vital processes, BodyForge will have you performing like never before. Expect greater levels of muscular strength, prolonged sessions of endurance, with overall better recovery through the manipulation of these integrated systems. Plus, you?ll also notice fuller, more dense muscle mass, accompanied by vascularity and hardness that is off the charts.
To maximize effectiveness, BodyForge utilizes only ingredients proven in medical literature to affect these critical pathways, combined in the ideal quantities necessary for optimum results. Once these pharmaceutical grade compounds reach their target destination, they form a symbiotic relationship at the cellular level; producing a metabolic synergy that will forge your body like steel.
The BodyForge proprietary ergogenic system contains:
Stage 1: The Pro-Endurance Matrix is a combination of three key ingredients designed to increase high repetition strength, endurance, and stamina; they are, Citrulline Malate, Beta Alanine, and L-Leucine. When combined, these compounds are extremely effective at combating the metabolic conditions that typically lead to both mental and muscular fatigue.
Citrulline Malate is composed of the amino acid Citrulline, bound to the Tricarboxylic Acid Cycle (TCA Cycle) intermediate Malic Acid. This combination offers athletes an excellent way to enhance performance levels by removing metabolic waste products like lactic acid and ammonia; while also stimulating the increased production of Nitric Oxide (NO), Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), and Growth Hormone (GH).
Beta Alanine is a non-essential amino acid that is rapidly converted into Carnosine once inside the body. Carnosine acts as a buffering agent, reducing the formation of excess hydrogen ions that are produced during intense training. This reduction lowers the acidity of the muscles, thereby delaying fatigue. Carnosine is also a precursor to the enzymes Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS), which mediate the production of NO in the body.
L-Leucine is one if three essential branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), but unlike other amino?s; it?s been shown to be the limiting factor for performance and growth. L-Leucine stimulates protein synthesis and insulin release, both of which prevent muscle breakdown and promote its growth. But in times of stress can be used as an energy substrate, while also reducing levels of circulating hormones that could otherwise cause premature mental decline.
Stage 2: The Advanced Volumizing Matrix includes a combination of Glycine, Creatine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AKG), and TriCreatine Citrate. These three ingredients take muscle fullness and volume to a whole new level, while also supporting the enhancement of low repetition strength and endurance.
Glycine is a glucogenic amino acid that is important for the synthesis of proteins, porphyrins, nucleic acids, and bile acids in the body. It is also needed for the construction of RNA and DNA, and other amino acids. Glycine supplementation can improve glycogen storage, Creatine production, and GH levels; and when combined with Glutamic Acid and Cysteine, it forms glutathione, a major liver detoxifier and free radical fighter.
Creatine AKG is Creatine bonded to Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid. This bonding greatly increases the uptake of the Creatine molecule, while also supporting energy production as a TCA Cycle intermediate. In the presence of ammonia, AKG forms Glutamic Acid, and then Glutamine. This formation reduces the buildup of nitrogenous waste product, while also promoting nitrogen balance within the body.
TriCreatine Citrate is a highly soluble Creatine salt, which is formed from three parts Creatine and one part Citric Acid. By biding Creatine this way, not only is absorption increased, but also cellular energy production. This is because Citric Acid is an important part of the TCA Cycle, and when combined with other TCA Cycle intermediates; like the one?s found in this formula, the resulting synergy is quite profound.
Stage 3: The Antioxidant Support Matrix contains ingredients that are highly effective at reducing oxidation within the body; they include, N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC), Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), and Ginkgo Biloba. By reducing oxidative damage, this matrix can enhance both performance and recovery, while also promoting general health and vitality.
NAC is a conditionally essential metabolite of the sulfur-containing amino acid Cysteine, which is an intermediary in the conversion of Cysteine into Glutathione; the body?s primary cellular antioxidant. NAC has also been shown to help reduce levels of fatigue and improve the ability for muscle contractions during exhaustive exercise.
ALA is a potent antioxidant, which in contrast to other antioxidants; is both fat and water soluble, enabling it to exert an effect in almost any part of the body. ALA promotes increased glucose uptake and utilization, stimulates blood flow by enhancing the activity of the Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS) enzyme, supports energy production, and also functions as a cognitive enhancer.
Ginkgo Biloba is a well-known botanical, which has three main effects in the body. It improves blood flow by increasing eNOS activity, it protects against oxidative cell damage from free radicals, and it blocks many of the effects of Platelet-Activating Factor (PAF). This can enhance cognitive abilities like memory, concentration, and mental alertness, while also inhibiting stress related cortisol secretions.
What is CryoShock?
CryoShock is the ultimate athletic performance catalyst, engineered to the optimum specifications required for increasing the rate of muscular development in trained athletes. Driven by our powerful five-phase ergogenic system; CryoShock unites the most synergistic combination of ingredients known to science, fractionally processed by cryogenic means for enhanced effect. Once these highly evolved matrixes are engaged, the kinetic potential is truly unstoppable. From the very first dose, you'll experience a dramatic increase in muscular strength and endurance, breathtaking amounts of muscle fullness and volume, and mind-blowing levels of vascularity and hardness.
Through the careful manipulation of systematically acute metabolic pathways, CryoShock can significantly increase levels of performance by raising the Anaerobic Threshold (AT), which limits your gains. CryoShock will have you lifting more with each workout, performing better with every set, while driving you harder than ever before on all your repetitions; developing your body at an unprecedented rate. The physiological effects that are going to transpire will truly shock you!
The CryoShock five-phase ergogenic system contains:
Phase 1 - Amplify Energy: The Velocity Energizing Matrix is a precise blend of adrenergic stimulating ingredients that will have your mind and body set into overdrive. By utilizing only the most scientifically advanced compounds, this matrix takes preworkout energy to a whole new level. Enhanced energy, focus, and endurance with a noticeable elevation in mood are just what this combination of ingredients is all about.
Phase 2 - Accelerate Delivery: The Vasospan Vasodilating Matrix provides the right combination of molecules needed for the increased signaling of Nitric Oxide (NO). This will improve the delivery of oxygen and nutrients while also enhancing the removal of metabolic waste products from the body. Expect better performance and recovery with greatly enhanced levels of vascularity and hardness from this potent combination.
Phase 3 - Maximize Performance: The Pro-Endurance Matrix is designed to prevent conditions within the body leading to fatigue, like excess blood lactate or ammonia levels. This will allow for longer, more intense workouts, without the fear of premature metabolic failure. This matrix also acts as an anabolic activator, stimulating muscle growth through reduced protein breakdown and increased protein synthesis.
Phase 4 - Increase Volume: The Advanced Volumizing Matrix enhances the density of nutrients retained within the muscle by increasing intracellular Creatine (Cr) and Phosphorylcreatine (PCr) concentrations. This will increase strength and endurance levels, reduce recovery time, and induce better levels of body hydration; resulting in increased levels of performance that will help aid muscular growth.
Phase 5 - Inhibit Oxidation: The Antioxidant Support Matrix combines several well-known and highly potent antioxidants to help prevent the oxidative damage that is encountered during intense exercise. They have also been shown to increase nutrient uptake, enhance muscle contraction strength, inhibit cortisol secretions, support energy production, and protect NO from oxidative destruction while also potentiating its effect within the body.

Height: 5'9''
Weight:Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !): Who would have thought it would take being 248 lbs @ 5'9'' to realize that it was time to change my body. Well, with about 2 years of hard work I manged to drop 80lbs bringing me down to 168 @ 12.8% bf. This weight loss was a huge accomplishment for me!
It was only a few days after that final weigh in that I decided it was time to add a little lean mass to my frame. In 4 short weeks I managed to move my body weight up to 180.6lbs @ 12.7% bf. The body fat was tested via the same 5 point caliper method. Of course this was not all muscle. Much of it was water and glycogen, but you get the idea. Since then I have done a few cutting and bulking cycles which now brings me to my current recomp phase! I am currently about 180lbs and not sure on the body fat. I would guess roughly a tad below 12% but its tough to say. I will be getting it checked again via caliper.
I feel I would be a good candidate for any log for multiple reasons. I train hard, am dedicated to the sport, VERY honest, and enjoy every second of life andtraining. Its a rare ocassion to find me without a smile on my face. I think one of the reasons I train so hard is because of my optimistic personality.
Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible): Currently I am followed a push/pull/leg split. This follows a 2 day on 1 off fashion. I enjoy doing a little bit of light cardio on my off days as well. I enjoy the cardio, and if done correctly it seems to do a good job in assisting with recovery. When I lift, I lift heavy and hard. I am not a huge fan of volume training, but rather hitting it real hard and heavy. My weight training work outs usually last about 45 minutes.
Current supplements (exact brand/product name): GNC fish oil, GNC mega man multivitamin. As an employee there (part time sales associate), it only makes sense to purchase products there due to discount
Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible): To be really honest, I take a relaxed aproach to dieting. I eat the correct amount of calories, get enough protein, fuel my workouts properly, eat fruits and veggies, and use a sesible aproach. If I want cookies, I'll have a few instead of the whole batch. I take a very moderate aproach with dieting. I feel no need to be obessive. Currently I am taking in about 2.8k-3k cals 180 grams of protein at least 50 grams of fat (bare minimum I feel) and the rest is carbs.
Other product reviews / logs you have done (with links): I just completed a sucessful log for Nimbus Nutritions product BERRY BLAST: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...#post347631661
I also have a seperate training log here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...#post310537661
Can you post "before" and "after" photos (yes or no): Absolutley, I just picked up batteries for my camera today!Just livin' the dream...

Weight:Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !): Started in my freshman year of high school as a chubby yet curious kid trying to get stronger. Took me three years to learn the actual and right way to train- I was that kid who would go around the gym doing whatever exercise he felt like, and now I'm suffering for it. Was about 5'10 and ~182 pounds, and dieted down and grew a couple of inches, putting me at my current frame. The diet that I put myself on was pretty much a vegetarian diet- lots of tofu and veggies and what not, but I wasn't a vegetarian- I just thought that was the healthiest and best way to go about losing the weight. In retrospect, I was pretty ignorant, but this site has taught me a lot about training and diet, and I'm confident that I won't go back to that state. Started Starr's 5x5 in early May of this year and did it for about six weeks, and then changed my split around a couple of times to meet the critique offered by many friendly people on this site.
Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible):

Incline- 3 sets
Fly's- 3 sets
Upright Rows- 3 sets
Front Plate Raises- 3 sets
Weighted Dragonflys- 3 sets
50 Burpees
75 Squat Jumps
Saturday:
Front Squat- 3 sets
Tricep Ext- 3 sets
Dips- 3 sets
Hammer Curls- 3 sets
Bicep Curls- 3 sets
RDL/SLDL- 3 sets
Hanging Leg Raises- 2 sets
Sunday: Off
Current supplements (exact brand/product name): ON Opti-Men multi, ON BCAA tabs, Kirkland Fish Oil, ON Banana Cream Casein, All The Whey Chocolate Mint Whey Protein Isolate, Higher Power Creatine Monohydrate
Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible): right now i'm trying to maintain at about 2.8-2.9kcals or so- bulked up from 148. I can't go above 160 because I'm a lightweight rower, and if I do weigh 160 or above for a race, then my boat can't race. Even so, the most optimal thing for me would be to get a low bodyfat percentage at my current weight- I'm going for the 'skinny yet muscular' look. I'm pretty laid back about my diet- as long as I get my protein, fruits, veggies and fats in, I'll have some ice cream or whatever sounds good to reach my caloric goal.
Other product reviews / logs you have done (with links): None

God dang it! I would TOTALLY be on this, but I can't. I'm about to start a sponsored Blue Gene log. I have to take priorities man.
For anyone thinking about applying...DO IT. BodyForge is incredible, and I can only imagine adding stimulants to it (CryoShock) would be sick as hell.
Good luck everyone!

Age: 21
Sex: M
Height: 5'9"
Weight:176
Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !): Started doing mild weight training Sophomore year of high school. Mainly high reps/ low-medium weight to build endurance. Ran Cross Country and played Hockey throughout high school. Took a year off exercise in general when I went to college and completely destroyed my body. After college I decided to start getting back in shape, joined a gym; worked out 4 days a week, and three times a month with a personal trainer. Right after I turned 20 I decided to join the Army. Throughout Basic and AIT (job training) did extensive cardio and muscle failure 2-3 times a day for 7 months. After AIT I went straight to Iraq where I've been for the last 8 months. I started out with a 1 day on full body workout/ 1 day off, but didn't have much success with that after the first 2 months. I switched to a 2 heavy, 2 light, 2 cardio, 1 day off (not in that order). When I first got to Iraq I was repping (7-9) 135lbs flat bench and now I'm up to 225 on my 3rd set. Been trying to figure out which supplements work best with me, and I've been trying many different brands. Looking to continue to increase my strength and size.

Weight:Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !): Lifting has always been a passion of mine. You could say 'It keeps me sane'. Instead of socially drinking or drugs, I lift. I've been lifting weights for over 10 years now with some pretty good gains. I'm the 'biggest' guy in my family so since I'm 5'7" at 181lbs, it is an accomplishment in itself for me.
I take pride in what I do, no matter if its my job, a project, or a log. I have done sponsored logs in the past with great success and feedback. If you look at my past logs (below) you can see that ~90% of the entries are day by day. I don't like to leave people hanging who are following them. All of my logs are pretty strait forward and don't have any fanciness to them. I've here for one reason.....feedback.
Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible): My current schedule is as follows:
Day1 - Chest/Biceps*
Day2 - Legs/Calves
Day3 - Shoulders/Triceps*
Day4 - Back*
I don't have set exercises because I like to do new lifts and my body reacts very well to new things. On the other hand, I do one compound lift per day every time: Day1 - Incline bench, Day2- Squat, Day3 - Military Press, Day4 - Deadlifts. I like to incorperate at least 2 compound exercises and then 2 isolation exercises. For each exercise I do a total of 4 sets ranging from 8-12 reps.
*Abs
Current supplements (exact brand/product name): Currently I am on a PCT of Havoc. The PCT is Nolva. I am using all of my BB.com samples for my creating/pre workout (SP250, green mag, ignite, concrete, maximize) If you really want a list of all, I can give it to you but I'm just trying to get rid of all the BB.com samples from past orders. The only other supplements (staples) I'm currently taking is Animal Pak, Scivation whey, ON Casien, & generic fish oil. For the log it would only be these and NONE of the samples
Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible): I don't look at my diet with a fine tooth comb, but I do watch what I eat. I aim for 40/40/20 and usually achieve that goal. My proteins consist of: tuna, fish, chicken, lean beef, and some pork. My carbs: whole grain rice, whole grain breads, fruit (post workout). My fats: EVOO, Fish Oil, and nuts. I drink at least four liters of water a day.
