    Lock Out on Bench Press

    I never lock out on Bench Press (to keep constant tension on the chest and not damage the joints), however I've seen some really big guys lockout. Do you guys lockout?

    What about in other exercises? I don't lock out in any exercise except for deadlift.

    same here man, locking out kills my joints especailly since i usually do 4x10 or 12 on most stuff. I've wondered this too because when i lock out i really do feel a hard squeeze but i have to lessen the reps a good bit because of my joints.

    A bodybuilder won't lockout while a powerlifter will.

    I don't lockout. Saves the joints + keeps constant tension on the muscle.
