It's just their brand of protein. It's not an actual kind of unique protein of theirs, but more of a name. It's just whey protein like all the rest.

By the way, 5 bars a day is too much, but since you're REALLY boney I guess it could be OK. However, it could still be bad so try to cut down a bit and replace some bars with actual food and drinkable protein.

Just eat more clean foods that are filled with natural protein like chicken, tuna, and lean beef then your gains will come. Oh, and of course drinkable whey protein.

Protein bars are OK here and there, but not 5 a day. I personally take protein bars when I want to treat my self.

No problem man, just watching out for your health. Just keep on lifting hard and heavy, while also eating more food in your case so you can gain more weight and muscle faster. Of course, remember to eat clean, and to include more protein from actual food sources like I previously mentioned.

And if you have drinkable whey protein what I would advise you to do is to take a bar in the morning, and a protein drink after your workouts (if you need to have those bars.) If not, just have two bars a week better, not that they're bad but you never know.

    lol

I eat one bar a day just for carbs and as a meal replacement. I'm 5,7 135 lbs. I eat whole foods 7 times a day and lift 5 times a week. I still can only reach 2800 calories. Any advice would ne great.

Thumbs down These bars are a no-no

I just ate one and then decided to do some research on them.

1st They average close to 400 calories each. So at 5 bars a day plus regular meals, I hate to think about how much protein is going right down the toilet.

2nd. They are close to 40 grams of carbs each. Times 5 is 200 not bad cause just trying to gain mass however as many carbs as your taking in, your workouts only end up doing to things burning the carbs to keep you from getting fat and making you stronger.

3rd but definitely not least. They contain some amount of SOY protein, which if not burnt or used in an adequate amount of time does become estrogen which you definitely don't want.

Check out the YouTube video, a review of the big 100 bars by eatsleeplift.com. Covers some good information.
So in summary these aren't bad for pre-workout fuel, but I know that I'm gonna avoid them.

Don't listen to these fools! Eat your 5 bars AND about 6-7 eggs a day. In addition, eat MORE. The harsh reality is that you probably over train and rip your body down far too much. It's all about a "speedy recovery". Steak and red meat won't help you. Supplement everything with fish and REAL HIGH FIBER too, on a daily basis.

People today formulate their rediculous over training methods based on body building techniques based upon supplements. These supplement are extreme and make u train longer and harder. If you take a pre-workout, you have longer work-outs than they did 30 years ago. Is all this good for you? Of course not! It's plain ole fact that body building is neither healthy or natural, it's for vanity...nothing more. Cardio is the only thing you need. For this reason, YES, you will have to "over-tax" your body with protein. Don't believe me? Stop ALL SUPPLEMENTS including pre-workout supplements, protein shakes, energy drinks, and drop your carbs to a reasonable level. You're work outs will diminish to nothing, along with your muscle mass...

Its 2014, and without these supplements, we would be BARELY bigger than people in the 1960's.

MET-Rx rep checkin in. Here's the official answer

It's a Metamyosyn blend. Different protein sources in it that was designed by a doctor who used it with his patients.

The bars are great. I love them. Taste great and you can find them just about anywhere
