3.As far as workouts go i lift 4-6 times a week. hitting all muscle parts twice. and cardio 3-4 times a week currently. i have a little speed bump. i teach bosu, jump rope, and cycling all hour long classes and don't know if i should count bosu as cardio or sculpting really. how can i balance my own workouts with teaching as well?

It's GREAT that you want to compete! I did my first show a few weeks ago and loved every second of it. It was one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences of my life.
1) Not absolutely necessary but they can be so much help. If you arent sure of what you are doing (especially for your first competition) a coach is a great thing to have. Not only will they help train you and set up the right program for you, but they will monitor your progress closely and may see things that you dont. They will know what needs work and how to change things so that you are ready.
2) It depends on you and how your body responds to each macro. How do you respond on a low carb diet vs. low fat? Whatever you do/decide make sure you keep protein high to preserve muscle while cutting.
Also, your macros are more than likely going to change as you get closer to the competition.
P.S. This is something a coach could help you with

(oh. and I know a good online trainer who doesnt charge much)
3) Balance is something you will need to plan out.
4) Talk to other competitors. Read lots.
