Anyone clipper/cut their own hair?
I am looking for a good quality clipper to buy. I usually do a 2 or 3 with a guide if that matters

I clip mine... My mom has had the same one for 10+ years and it works great.. It's a Wahl, as to the model, I couldn't tell you.

LOL reminds me of an old Sinbad stand up, he was talking about tattoos and said if he was an artist he would tattoo his hand on a girls butt and sign his name at the bottom
OP I've used Conair and Wahl not because they wore out but I kept loosing parts lol. They are both really good clippers just make sure you oil them every once in a while otherwise the blades start to wear out.

If your gonna buy a clipper, invest in a good little trimmer to clean up the edges. If not you risk looking like you cut your own hair....lol.
As you can see, many of us have had our clippers for years. The trick is to keep the blases clean and oiled.they now have a spray lubricant...same stuff the barbers use.

I've had Wahl and Conair clippers - both good brands.
Current one is a Conair that I've had for around 4 or 5 years.

I recently purchased a kit from Wahl to replace my other Wahl clipper I dropped on the ground blades first (bent it all up) I had that clipper for many years and it was great. This time, I got a mini clipper in the kit for doing sideburns, around the ears, and other manscaping needs - totally worth it. If you get the kits, you'll get clippers, guards, combs, oil for blades, mini clipper, mirror, etc.

Model of Wahl clippers? I'm actually looking for a good one too. My sister recently cut my hair with Wahl color pro and it sucked. It just left my hair really choppy even though we went over it with a #2 several times. Weird. Or maybe my head is actually shaped into little bumps every half inch....

I've been clipping/shaving my own head for a few years now, and I do it pretty often to keep it looking clean and well done. I owned a Conair (dont know the model) for the past 2 years and it just died on me the other day, so I would stay away from the cheaper Conair models. I now own a Norelco and a Wahl and they both work great, but I prefer the Wahl for hair trimming and the Norelco for facial grooming as the Norelco has a smaller clipping area. I don't have any info on their longevity though since I've only recently bought both.

This. "Hmm $12-$15 twice a month to keep my hair short or $40 once every 5 years for a clipper to do it myself..."
Not really a tough call

So after researching on the Wahl website, looks like I'm gonna get the deluxe chrome pro with multi-cut trimmer and 27 pieces. Got a ton of great reviews on amazon and a pretty good price ($41.81 lol) and free shipping
