So once again I've found myself as the lone powerlifter lifting with an olympic lifting team. Although this time, instead of just snatching I feel like I want to do an entire day of olympic lifting added to my normal 3 day PL split to up my explosiveness, as right now thats an area I feel slightly lacking in.
So, I'm a good power snatcher, and when I accidentally perform a full snatch I've been told it looks very good, but I could not do this on command.
I'm having trouble with the clean catch and the jerk portion of the clean and jerk, so more or less the entire lift.
How can I work on getting my elbows up while performing the catch, and how do you get any power to come on the jerk when your elbows are out in front of you instead of directly under the bar like in a push press?
