Dave Palumbo's diet for cutting
I was reading this in the Nutrition forum and wanted to know the reasoning for 'no tomatoes, carrots or red peppers' as mentioned in meal five
thanks

For a 200lb man:
MEAL #1
5 whole eggs (make sure to buy OMEGA-3 EGGS from the supermarket. They contain virtually NO saturated fat and tons of good OMEGA-3 fats); add another 4 egg whites to this (they don?t need to be the Omega-3 ones; you can use liquid egg whites)
MEAL #2
SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 ? tablespoon of All Natural Peanut butter (no sugar)
MEAL #3
"Lean Protein Meal": 8oz chicken with 1/2-cup cashew nuts (almonds, or walnuts)
MEAL #4
SHAKE: 50g Whey Protein with 1 ? tablespoons of All Natural Peanut butter (no sugar added)
MEAL #5
"Fatty Protein Meal": 8oz Salmon, Swordfish, or RED MEAT with a green salad (no tomatoes, carrots, or red peppers) with 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil or Macadamia nut oil and vinegar
MEAL #6
SHAKE: 50g Whey with 1 ? tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 4 whole (Omega-3) eggs and 4 extra whites

Hey Mate! I think Dave's diet is a real strict cutting diet, unless your looking to compete eat the dam peppers, tomatoes and carrots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just for grins and giggles I ran this diet through my calorie logger using natty PB with 1g. of sugar per Tbs. (2 per day) and my whey protein which has 4 g. of sugar per scoop (6 scoopes to to get Palumbo's protein requirement). Also used baked salmon as the dinner meat.
Here is the results:
2925 calories
341.8g protein
62.1g carbs
136.5g fats
If you drop the carbs from sugar that comes to 62.1-26= 36.1g. carbs per day and about 100 fewer calories (no math wiz)
Hmmm, my calculations may not match the thread where the op came from.

Agreed - with it being 'fatty protein meal' he is probably reducing his carbs.

Old school name for this cut was a Modifed Atkins. I started T giving 2008 at a small boned 6' 233 and ended up 7-16-2009 195 with added muscle and 98% stage ready. I ate 7-8 meals per day and Almond butter or Sunflower Seed butter instead of P nutt....and 2-3 huge tablespoons per day. No more than 10 grams of sugar per day would sneak in.
Protein 300+ grams per day. No red meat. I have gout.
Fats from whats in the fish, chicken, turkey, olive oil, nutt butter and 2 Omega eggs
Carbs from Brocolli, Califlower, celery, salad greens, slice of watermellon several times a week.
I am still on this (and will be for 10 more months+) but have added a large bowl of oatmeal with a sprinkle of raisins and will take a bite of wife's what ever, one bite potato, bite of chocolate bar or one tablespoon of ice cream, etc.
And what is the long term effect on your sweet personality Baldie...you ask?
DON"T TEST ME!!!
Sweet Baldie
