I'll assume by sore your referring to lactic acid build up and not an injury.
By working out a different muscle group you've, in essence, indirectly flushed the acid out of your triceps.
I always suggest to work the muscle group at 50-65% of your 1 rep max, with roughly 8-12 reps the day it feels sore. And just one set. That usually directly flushes them.
