Question Bis&Tris? Dis/Advantages?

Does anyone know of the dis/advantages of training biceps and triceps either separately giving them each their own days and doing them 1x/week. Or training them together and training them 2x/week.

I cant decide on doing bis/tris wednesdays and saturdays.
or tris wednesdays and bis saturdays.

At one point I did them together, but I felt it was too much work. A lot of people say that they don't need as many exercises as other muscle groups because they are small muscles (so you can do them the same day), however, I think I am benefiting from giving them their own days (and more exercises). I like the one muscle group per day approach, it gives me time to give them full attention, and I know I will be giving it my best effort because I won't be tired from doing other exercises.

I don't really feel that they need 2x per week, they get a lot of work from secondaries on other days. I could be wrong, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try, right?

I'm thinking the same thing....
My biceps never get sore unless I do 16+ Sets
but my triceps are ALWAYS sore after about 10...and they are lagging.

im just wondering if giving the biceps/triceps 6days off for a break inbetween is too long.

Well, that's how I do it and I don't feel that it's bad. I think that all my muscles are in the same category as far as strength goes.

Soon I am going to switch my routine up to workout with a friend; I will essentially split my routine in two, combine muscle groups, and do it twice a week. I guess I'll be able to better comment when I start that routine.

This is according to ME...

Advantage- Huge pumps and love the feeling

Disadvantage- My arms were lagging, then i took away the "arm day" and every now and then added in so isolation exercises for both bi's and tri's and had more growth.

thats just my .02 and is what worked for me
