iPhone 3GS [REPS]
Can this be set up as a webcam, if I have a windows laptop?
Might be able to get one of these cheaply, and I heard some stuff back in '08 about how they were planning to, or you already could...

you could hook it up to your computer through firewire or usb and use imovie or adobe on location to record a video onto your computer from your phone.
As far as I know that is as close you will get.
maybe you can find a driver that will recognize your iphone as a web cam on the computer..but in turn that might **** everything else up as far as reading it as an iphone, idk just although: very unlikely.

can't do it on an iphone. you can use a windows mobile cell phone as a webcam though through a paid app.

YOU CAN DO IT.
Well, Kinda. Once you Jailbreak your iPhone you can then use Cydia which is an open source Installer.
There are at least 3 programs that I remember that let you use your iPhone to stream video directly to the web, kinda like a webcam. You can't really do 1on1 webcam chats but you can do something like a Jtv thing. Ill edit this post with the name of the programs cuz I can't remember right now.

No I don't think it works with those websites. But it works on websites just like Jtv.
There are a few that you could look up now since I remember them.lol:
-Flixwagon
-Qik
-And I actually think UStream has one too. And that site is pretty big.
