Supposedly using a belt for squats and deadlifts will reduce the gains in waist size, as they reduce the need for core activation on those lifts.
Never really tried it, or bothered to look into it because I simply couldn't care less.

Convergys sucks. I don't care if you're a current employee and are offended by this; you have no soul.

I wouldn't think so.. Using a belt is supposed to allow you to exert more force on your abs. And to do it properly you force out against the belt?
Do a small bit of oblique training and watch your diet... not much else you can do!
I have a wide ass waist too so I know what it's like.

What the hell are you talking about, so if you direct ab/core work you will get fat?

No, its a belt, it helps support your core, if you need any, it doesn't reduce your waist size.

If your waist is getting bigger, then its getting bigger. O well. Just compensate by getting wider shoulders and wider lats. If you must reduce your waist size, then cut or do more cardio. The thing about the belt is true however, since that's what I've done for months and can attest to it.

no hetero?
haha
My waist never changes size, even if I bulk 20 pounds heavier than what I cut to. I say, just deal with it until the cut. You can't change it, it's obviously genetic in some way. Either always stay lean, or begin cutting now and then when you re-bulk, try eating a tad cleaner?
