Two. Lol, my god parents are a joke. If something had happened to my parents and I had to go with either [as much as I love them] it would have been a mess, well maybe not with my uncle, that would have been nice actually.

Only 1 set of GodParents, My sister just went through a similar situation. She's pretty Alpha when it comes to those kinds of things but in the end someone had to compromise. Both her and her husband decided to not choose their primary candidates and agreed upon a third choice which was a mutual decision.

It's tradition for boys to have two godmothers and one godfather, and for girls to have two godfathers and one godmother. But I'm sure if you wanted two godmothers for a girl, or vice versa, it would be fine. It's up to you, it's your baby.

My wife and I never had this problem with the godparents of our two kids. We just went the safe route with her younger sister and my best friend for our son. With our daughter I went with my cousin and she went with one of close friends. I'm a godfather to three kids and keep in touch with all of them.
